11/01/2026: Today, my family and I left Taverna Mari very happy. The food was simple and high-quality. For my taste, I would have preferred a little more seasoning on the cacio e pepe spaghetti and the paccheri with artichokes, but everything, absolutely, was genuine. The staff was friendly, as was the owner. I'd happily return several times, and for those who haven't tried it, it's not to be missed.
08/12/2025: At Taverna Mari, you don't just go in for a meal... you leave rolling (happy 😄).
We started with a truly generous taverna appetizer: flavorful cured meats, fresh ricotta, frittata, fried vegetables, eggplant with tomato sauce, and toasted bread perfect for dipping in the excellent house olive oil. It was a promising start.
For our first courses, we were tempted by tagliolini with tomato sauce, simple but made the way they used to be, paccheri with artichokes bursting with flavor, and maltagliati with broccoli, reminiscent of home and tradition. This was followed by involtini with stringy provola and generous side dishes: by then, the elasticity of our pants was already being tested.
Making everything even more enjoyable was the friendliness of the owners, father and son, always smiling, welcoming, and ready to chat, making you feel truly at home.
But it was impossible to resist the desserts: orange tiramisu, chocolate millefeuille, and a crème brulee to finish. Everything ended beautifully with coffee and amaro, as tradition dictates.
In short: generous portions, sincere cuisine, and an authentic atmosphere. Taverna Mari never disappoints... and officially invites you to come back hungry 🍷🍝
