Welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. I've rarely tasted such high-quality fish, cooked to perfection. The side of tasty vegetables (not frozen) deserves special mention. I'll definitely be back.

We had lunch on a Saturday. Despite arriving significantly late due to a traffic jam on the highway, the owner was very kind in holding our reservation, and the staff had no problem serving us past the afternoon closing time. The food, as always, was excellent. We ordered seafood risotto and mixed grill. We'll definitely be back; Ippopotamus is a must-visit for us every time we're in Marina di Massa.

Ottimi piatti di pesce, consiglio gli Spaghetti allo scoglio che vengono serviti direttamente nella padella, con una cottura al dente perfetta. Buona anche la grigliata mista di pesce. Il locale non è molto moderno o… alla moda, ma i piatti sono veramente buoni e il servizio è veloce. Consiglio la prenotazione. Prezzi nella media, in 2 circa 80 € prendendo due primi, un secondo e una bottiglia di vino.
