A very enjoyable evening. From the moment we walked in. We were met with a welcome smile and taken to our table. Food was incredible. White truffle carbonara highly recommend. The owner took time to explain all our dishes which was a nice touch. 5 stars all round

TOO MUCH MONEY for a completely mediocre dinner. Sorry, because we looked for this restaurant on the advice of family members, but we found ourselves in a place that was decidedly subdued compared to the demands of the menu. ENVIRONMENT Cold in a kitsch and characterless place. A mixture of dissonant and faux-luxurious elements that meet writings on the walls, industrial lamps, satin napkins and fake prints of people from the cinema. A consultation on design and furnishings wouldn't have gone amiss. FOOD Sufficient but extremely expensive for the final quality. Good pastas and sauces, anonymous starters. Sweets with an inexplicable price due to the lack of creativity. There is no offer of wine by the glass: a white or a red and you'll stick. SERVICE A disaster: two foreign guys who barely spoke Italian. One of the two, probably responsible for the room, a certain Mario, was not able to explain to us the foods and wines served and often responded disdainfully to our questions about the menu (e.g. "What is Sofia Loren pesto?" - " well, it's a pesto! With anchovies!"). Ridiculous choices of mise en place: the kids bring you the pasta covered by an (ugly) cloche without knowing how to handle it. €3.50 cover charge FOR WHAT, I would like to know. Plastic tables, no tablecloth or placemat, bread OFF THE MENU, what the hell am I paying for exactly? A cover charge of €1.50 would be fair. Oh and the menu is a mess, too much stuff and difficult to decipher. The idea of ​​bringing tastings of pasta from friends is NICE. The problem with this place is the size. It should all cost €4 less.

A must go if you are looking for the best carbonara! The owner explained each dish in detail and ensured we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Absolutely delicious food and very thoughtful service in a unique setting. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was located about 450m (6mins) walk up a winding slope from Roman Forum. The host was very friendly and introduce us to a few of the carbonara pasta; classic, carciofi and zafferano. I had pork fillets with taste of teriyaki sauce which is all good. I tried the carbonara and would go for the classic of the three pasta. For the starter, I ordered fiori di zucca (zucchini which tasted like fried oyster), millefoglie di melanzana (eggplant-like lasagna) and ball of croquettes biscuit with cheese (on the house to start with). To end it with two tiramisu to share; classic and pistacchio which both tasted what I expected of tiramisu and I had two different take the past three days already. The cappuccino we had you can give it a miss. Thanks for the great lunch.

An amazing place to have absolutely scrumptious pasta. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The food is incredible and the ambience is great. It's a must visit place if you're visiting Italy. Very close to Piazzia Venezia. So happy to be ending my trip with this place and their food. Thank you so much.

Conocíamos este lugar por haber cenado un par de veces en el pasado. A pesar de la ubicación céntrica cerca del foro, es tranquilo y fuera de los lugares turísticos habituales, con restaurantes excesivamente ocupados y comida de media a mala calidad. Fuimos allí de nuevo durante unas vacaciones de 2 semanas a Roma y Nápoles con amigos. Excelente experiencia como siempre. Elección de varias pastas carbonara desde la versión clásica hasta la más sofisticada. Buena elección de antipasti y secondi. Buena carta de vinos. Excelente relación precio/calidad. Equipo amable y profesional. Pasamos una noche excelente y decidimos volver al mismo lugar después de 3 días. Muy recomendable!

Superb restaurant, I researched some places to eat prior to travelling to Rome and this was on our list. Despite not having a reservation, the friendly staff accommodated us on the rather hot terrace, which when the sun had set, became a beautiful spot to eat dinner on our last night. We were really tired and doing over 34,000 steps in the blazing heat and wanted something tasty and hearty. The signature carbonara did the trick. We did try ordering a few different wines and they were ‘out of stock’, but the white wine from Lazio which was recommended wasn’t really expensive and paired really nicely with the food. I have nothing bad to say about this place, service was friendly and attentive, the food and wine were excellent and very good value for money. I’d certainly return and highly recommend.
