In Vino Veritas In Bari

Coming here was last minute decision, it turned out to be the best meal of our stay in Bari. Both food and the service were excellent! We cannot recommend it enough!

The mussels were very tasty, we got a nice big portion. The Carbonara was a bit salty, according to my husband, but it was on the borderline for me. The pasta was cooked as it should be, the taste and the juice were just as well. I left satisfied.

Initially we didn't have much faith in this place, we sat down because the waitress had told us that they served rice, potatoes and mussels but when we ordered they didn't have any. The frankness in telling us that the kitchen helper had burned everything and that the cook (who had started preparing the dish at 6 in the morning) was swearing badly left us embarrassed for a moment... but after a collective laugh we decided to stay the same and order something else: the spaghetti all'assassina is delicious, as are the orecchiette with turnip tops and anchovies and the grilled octopus. 10 to the (smart) waitress who was very nice and affable!! If we return to Bari we will definitely go again.

Delicious antipasti, fried calamari and shrimp

Después de haber estado aquí dos veces, diría que la primera visita fue mucho mejor que la segunda. Este es un restaurante elegante con bonitos locales en un amplio bulevar no lejos del mar. Tiene una carta de vinos muy extensa con muchos vinos italianos locales, y una carta igualmente extensa. El entrante para verduras a la parrilla es bueno, aunque no sustancial. El pulpo a la parrilla era absolutamente delicioso, un pulpo muy fresco a la perfección, rociado con aceite de oliva. Seguimos con un plato de mozzarella, y disfrutamos de un Primitivo rojo (10€ por media botella) que era excelente. La factura, incluyendo y servicio, era de 57€ , lo que era muy razonable. La segunda visita pedí los paccheri con queso de oveja y tocino. No pedí pimienta. Para mi gusto personal, la pasta estaba mal cocida, el queso era demasiado fuerte y abrumador, y había demasiada sal y pimienta. No podía comérmelo. La fritura mista de mi acompañante (marisquería mixta frita en masa) fue excelente. Para un segundo plato, pedí la ternera en vino blanco. La carne estaba buena, pero me pareció que la salsa estaba demasiado afilada y de nuevo tenía demasiada sal y pimienta. Total factura 67€ pero teníamos vino extra. Así que: veredicto, un poco poco poco fiable. Espléndida selección de vinos, buen pan, buen servicio y cojines en sillas.

This is an awesome spot to have great food inBbari. Basically, after traveling 10 through Puligia this was our hot spot. The service is really great, especially Miranda, Excellent vine recommendation and it all cones with affordable privces. Fully recommended.

Very welcoming place, good service, but above all the dishes they brought us were very tasty. They welcomed us with a welcome appetizer which made us very happy. I recommend the cut very GOOD. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Food was okay but sorbet tastes like tap water.

What a delicious meal we had at this friendly family feel trattoria. Sitting outside on a perfect July evening, we dined on orecchiette with tomatoes and mozzarella, fried prawns and calamari, a caprese salad and a mista and we enjoyed everything. The service was friendly and attentive, the ingredients fresh and the taste was excellent. Simple delicious food served with love. Stanley Tucci would be very happy here.
