In Vino Veritas In Bari

After some time, I return to this location which has always remained one of my favorites in the center of Bari. Helpful staff and quality of the raw materials remain undisputed. The assassin that I tasted is rightfully among the top three best in the capital. In Vino Veritas, super recommended!

Dopo un pò di tempo, ritorno in questa location che da sempre, rimane una delle mie preferite nel centro di Bari. Personale disponibile e qualità della materia prima, rimangono indiscussi. L'assassina che ho assaggiato, rientra di diritto nelle prime tre piú buone del capoluogo. In Vino Veritas, super consigliato!

Nice meal on the border between old and newer towns, without feeling like you are looking at pictures in a menu. Wines were 20-30 euro for a bottle and had a good selection. Food was good - we tried pasta, fish, meat - all decent. Sat outside with heat lamps in covered area during winter - comfortable. Good service from the waiter.

Coming here was last minute decision, it turned out to be the best meal of our stay in Bari. Both food and the service were excellent! We cannot recommend it enough!

The mussels were very tasty, we got a nice big portion. The Carbonara was a bit salty, according to my husband, but it was on the borderline for me. The pasta was cooked as it should be, the taste and the juice were just as well. I left satisfied.

Initially we didn't have much faith in this place, we sat down because the waitress had told us that they served rice, potatoes and mussels but when we ordered they didn't have any. The frankness in telling us that the kitchen helper had burned everything and that the cook (who had started preparing the dish at 6 in the morning) was swearing badly left us embarrassed for a moment... but after a collective laugh we decided to stay the same and order something else: the spaghetti all'assassina is delicious, as are the orecchiette with turnip tops and anchovies and the grilled octopus. 10 to the (smart) waitress who was very nice and affable!! If we return to Bari we will definitely go again.
