Illy Coffee was founded in 1933 in Trieste by Francesco Illy, helping to establish the coffee culture Trieste is known for. Illy is considered the premium Italian coffee brand. They are now distributed in 140+ countries worldwide and have company-owned cafes in 40 countries.

The coffee is very good but very expensive

Had a great cold brew, but honestly the highlight was the lovely staff. She had such a warm, bright energy that totally made my day. Even my kids noticed and we all left smiling.

An elegant bar, though not particularly spacious. Excellent service, but the staff is often understaffed. Staff are always friendly and efficient, but they're forced to do "monkey jumps," as they say. The coffees are excellent.

Siamo stati al Bar Illy a Trieste per un aperitivo, in una bella serata di sabato. Il locale si trova in una posizione davvero suggestiva, affacciato sul canale di via Rossini – la location è sicuramente uno dei punti forti. Abbiamo ordinato 3 spritz classici e 2 spritz bianchi: buoni, ben fatti. Peccato però per gli stuzzichini, davvero scarsi e poco curati, considerando che l’aperitivo in Italia è anche (e soprattutto) condivisione e gusto. Appena seduti, ci è stato detto che il locale avrebbe chiuso dopo mezz’ora. Comprensibile, ma non il massimo come accoglienza, soprattutto di sabato sera. L’impressione generale è stata quella di un’esperienza “nella media”, senza quel qualcosa in più che invogli a tornare. In conclusione: bella la location, buoni i drink, ma nel complesso niente di memorabile. Personalmente, non so se lo consiglierei.
