I dined at Il Vicolo, booking through TheFork with a 50% discount. The restaurant is simple, with an informal and unpretentious yet welcoming atmosphere. The cuisine is good, featuring local dishes prepared simply yet carefully. You can taste the attention to detail, while still maintaining a traditional, home-style feel.
The service is relaxed, not formal, in keeping with the restaurant's ambiance.
One note: having booked with a 50% discount through TheFork, the website specified that only drinks and cover charge were not discounted, but when we ordered, we were informed that meat was not included in the promotion. It would be better to specify this in advance or indicate it more clearly before arriving.
Overall, a positive experience for a simple, traditional dinner. I recommend it.

I’ll admit it: I almost skipped Il Vicolo because of the not-so-great Google reviews. But it was a short, easy walk from the Novotel, and curiosity won.
Friday night at 8 pm, the place was basically empty—which probably explains some of the bad press. Service was perfectly fine. There is a bit of a language barrier, but the staff made an honest effort and were friendly and accommodating to us non-Italian speakers.
Now, the pizza. I ordered the prosciutto and mushrooms, and suddenly the negative reviews from my fellow Americans made sense. If you’re expecting a thick crust and a heavy blanket of rubbery, coagulated cheese… this isn’t that pizza. Thankfully.
This is a thin, well-balanced pizza with a bright, flavorful sauce, prosciutto, mushrooms, and a generous hit of parsley that ties everything together. Light, fresh, and packed with flavor—every bite worked.
Is it fancy? Not even close. Is it worth coming back for the pizza alone? Absolutely. Sometimes the best bites don’t photograph well—but they deliver where it counts

I'm giving 3 stars for the atmosphere because when I went, the place wasn't heated properly.
I was eating and feeling cold.

The food was really very good but really, I ate with my 2 little girls who are fussy eaters and the eldest 10 year old even went crazy for the cacio/pepe pasta (and that's already a lot if she eats plain pasta 😅), really compliments to the chef

Excellent food: fresh tagliatelle with truffle, sliced steak with porcini mushrooms, and a side of beans. Water and good house wine. The Fork 50% off, €21.50
A surprise considering it's located in an industrial area.
