Il Vezzo In Firenze

We had the best meal of our entire 12 day trip at Il Vezzo. It's a hidden gem that our Tuscany tour driver recommended to us and I am so glad he did. It's a quaint restaurant but the food was absolutely perfect. They started us out with a small dish from the chef - beef tartare with the most delicious verde sauce. The three of us shared a pappardelle bolognese which was so delicate and full of flavor. My husband enjoyed a duck dish, I had the best chicken terrine and fresh snap peas which tasted straight from the garden, and our daughter had the shrimp pasta dish which was so light and flavorful. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere more authentic and want to avoid the tourist traps. We will remember this meal for a long time.

This was a great surprise, it was my first time having Bistecca alla Fiorentina, even though it’s a pricey choice, it was about 120 euros for the steak for two (min) it was as honestly one of the best meat I’ve ever had. Glad we had it here!

Locale trovato per caso, piccolo ma carino e curato. Al servizio due ragazzi solari con accento toscano. La cucina dimostra attenzione particolare agli alimenti e alla preparazione, mai scontata, che privilegia il sapore dei singoli ingredienti. Piatti di carne, pesce e veg. Gli spaghetti di verdura e il carciofo bbq sono delle vere chicche! Si esce felici, anche se non è propriamente economico!

Lamentablemente fue un día lluvioso y tuvimos que caminar hasta aquí, pero valió la pena! La comida era buena y se sentía muy alta - con clase. La comida era muy interesante y 100% mostró más sobre la cocina italiana.
