Il veliero Atrani In Atrani

We were staying in Atrani and noticed this lovely little family restaurant was very quiet at lunchtime compared to the cafe/bars in the square. So, in the evening we decided to visit and it was absolutely exceptional. The best Carbonara I have ever had, and my daughter had an excellent fresh pasta with seafood. Very friendly staff, welcoming and accommodating. Very cheap high quality food, we really wish we had tried this restaurant on our first night, rather than our last!

Excellent value for money, simple and well-prepared dishes, with a varied menu. A special mention goes to the main course. However, the cheesecake could have been better: the texture was too raw and the syrup too sweet. With a few adjustments, it would be perfect.

A true gem in Atrani! We had a wonderful dinner at Ristorante Veliero—relaxed, delicious, and full of local charm. It’s tucked right on the main square with a low-key vibe, lots of locals, and the perfect spot for people-watching or admiring the beautiful old apartments that rise up around you. Make sure to grab an outside table! We started with the seafood salad—perfectly poached mussels and calamari in a garlicky lemon broth that we happily mopped up with fresh bread. The caprese salad was simple but bursting with flavour—tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes. For mains, the spaghetti pomodoro was made with freshly prepared pasta, perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced. A glass of local white wine rounded everything off perfectly. The staff were warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt authentically Italian without the crowds. It’s located beside the local fountain, so there’s a nice hum of people coming and going. Skip hectic Amalfi and take the short walk to Atrani—more laid-back, more local, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Definitely the place to accept prices of about 20€/main course. Great seafood, nice owner, and far enough away from busy Amalfi!

We were only in Atrani for three nights and we ate here twice because the food and service were so good. All four dishes my wife and I had over the two visits (risotto alla crema di scampi, rigatoni alla Bolognese, rigatoni alla scarpariello, and pizza diavola) were outstanding. It's a great family-owned restaurant and I highly recommend it.

Outstanding food, very friendly service, extremely pleasant experience. I had lunch/ dinner there 3 times in a row because it was simply the best value for money. Lovely!

Ate here multiple times on our holiday, you can get oysters if you reserve 1 day ahead. The pizza, lemon shrimp spaghetti, espresso martini, Tramonti white wine, everything was so delicious. We loved meeting and getting to know the family who owns it and runs it. It has the cutest ambience looking over the square. Go here!

Très bonne expérience un midi, sans prétention, sur une placette charmante et authentique. Une pizza excellente avec une pâte parfaite. Nos amis ont pris un plat de pastas aux légumes et crevettes tout aussi excellent. Tout est fait maison, cuisine familiale. Ce fut un régal !

Ottimo posto situato in un bellissimo borgo medioevale, locale intimo e accogliente e personale gentile e disponibile, ci tornerei sicuramente! In particolare vi consiglio la calamarata con ragù di scampi e mascarpone. I prezzi sono assolutamente equilibrati e con un buon rapporto qualità prezzo
