Il Vegetariano In Firenze

I've been coming here for almost 40 years and it's always good. The flavors are truly authentic, my mother's cooking, the portions generous, the desserts are so delicious and original that you'll remember them for years to come, and the atmosphere is genuine and authentic. One of the best spinach pies I've ever eaten.

It's only been a quarter of a century since I've been here...same place, same mood. Good food, generous portions, amazing desserts, friendly service. I recommend it.

Restaurant feels like it takes you back in 18th century ( or perhaps earlier-)). Simple vegan and vegetarian food. Nothing exceptional, in terms of taste or portion or ambience. Hit up if you are in the area but don't drive or travel to get to it..

If you want authentic Italian cooking that happens to be vegetarian, this is the place. It’s cozy, buzzing with locals, and the food is clearly made with love. I especially enjoyed how they elevate simple ingredients. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good after eating. Great value for the quality you get in the heart of Florence.

A wonderful and brave reality… in a city whose culinary tradition has focused mostly on meat, despite having incredible dishes like ribollita. Il Vegetariano is a magical place .. the food and hospitality have the warmth and taste of home. Even on a chilly evening, the restaurant was almost full. For me, a hot dish rich in flavors at a very fair price. Well done, well done, well done!

Definitely a great place to sample vegetarian dishes. With the formula, you write down what you want to eat, go to the cashier, and pay. Good service, and the manager's kindness is truly remarkable. The dishes are good, but very generous. Not that that's a bad thing, but perhaps for those who are no longer young, choosing a dish and a dessert would be wise. Two drawbacks: the first is that they bring everything to you right away if you order a full meal, which, in my opinion, is a limitation given the portions. Secondly, they leave condiments on the table, along with the spray to clean the tables afterwards. It's not a pretty sight, but I understand the comings and goings of tourists and diners...cleaning the table, setting the table, etc. etc. Having detergent on hand is useful, but avoiding it would be better. Excellent desserts, and plenty of them. Good coffee. In short, in Florence, give me your hand...go to a vegetarian place. 4 first courses 4 second courses 4 desserts 3 coffees 4 waters €116. Recommendation.

When you first enter this restaurant, you wouldn't expect a second, cozy dining room, or even another one in the veranda. So, a lovely setting, good, tasty, and generous cuisine, good bread, and excellent pastries with a wide selection. A real treat. We go there, and we'll be back.

A lovely and welcoming restaurant with a unique but very convenient system. You write down your dishes and drinks on a slip of paper, go to the register to pay, and then they serve your food directly to your table. The food is delicious, and you can order half portions to try more dishes. I recommend the leek lasagna and the pasta with ragu. Everything is delicious!
