Wonderful and quiet place to eat properly prepared dishes. Family friendly and super friendly staff. The roast lamb and scamorza are highly recommended.

The place is small (make a reservation!) and very welcoming. Traditional local dishes and products, cooked very well with a good assortment and attention to everyone's dietary needs. Three of us had a soup (cazzarellitte), guitar with ragù, polenta with turnip tops, scamorza and two portions of roasted potatoes grown a few km away. Everything was wonderful, even the friendliness and chat with those who served us. With water, a glass of wine and two coffees we spent a total of 62 euros. Highly recommended, also because the town of Rocca Pia and the nearby Piana delle 5 Miglia are truly evocative.

Excellent local, fresh and handmade food served by owners Nunzia and her husband. Very personable service and the food was very tasty. All in the lovely town of Rocca Pia. Also very impressive wine selection. Will be back. Grazie

Ristorante con ambiente molto classico , personale gentile ed attento antipasto nella norma, molto buoni i primi ed eccellente la bistecca! Consigliato, prezzi contenuti

Gentilezza e genuinità caratterizzano questo piccolo ristorante del paesino di Rocca Pia. La sala è un po' vintage, ma le pietanze provate ( antipasto della casa e pasta fresca fatta da loro) sono state molto apprezzate.

05/01/2025: The place is super organised, everything is delicious, the place is nice and they are super kind. The rooms are fantastic and are perfect for children. And the staff is very kind. I had a blast

Immersed in the greenery and tranquility typical of our villages, the Locanda del Carrettiere offers simple but at the same time refined cuisine with excellent quality ingredients. The menu is very well looked after, the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is fast and the location is very suggestive. Furthermore, there is the possibility of staying overnight on site just as they used to do in the past. Recommended for a business lunch if you are in the area.

22/01/2025: I tried the gnocchi in pistachio sauce with crunchy mortadella, buffalo mozzarella and parmesan: an explosion of flavour! Balanced flavors, perfect textures and a truly unique dish. Absolutely must try! If you are in the area it is impossible not to go
21/12/2024: We ate very well, the service knows how to put you at ease and advise you. Generous portions and good food. We took a mixed appetizer from Camilla, a gnocchi with pistachios and a pasta and potatoes with provola. A mixed grill with side dishes and desserts. The price is in line with what we got, not cheap but fair. Advised.
