A very atmospheric place near the Piazzia Navona, the food is very delicious, the service is on the top, at the evenings there're live music performances , the staff is also very welcoming and friendly, especially Alessandro, Alex for short, amazing person, he made our stay very atmospheric and welcoming! Alex, you are our star!

A pleasant discovery One April evening, strolling through the center of Rome, I was craving a spritz and immediately noticed what I thought was just a bar... I immediately realized that the music coming from the place was live, and it was very pleasant. Given the mild evening, I sat outside, and when it came time to order the spritz, I was pointed out that they also served food there and had a nice menu. After the spritz, I decided I'd try something, and on the advice of the owner, a true Neapolitan, I ordered gnocchi alla sorrentina, which were unexpectedly excellent (I even mopped up the bread). I would have tried more, but since I was full, I'll do that next time. Being a musician, I really appreciated the combination of live music and excellent dinner. Plus, the staff was very friendly, and it wasn't even that expensive considering I was just steps from Piazza Navona. Truly a lovely discovery, I'll be back soon. Jerry

Great cocktails and amazing food without exaggeration!!!! If you go to Rome it is worth visiting this particular shop. And a secret for the Greeks.... service only from Alex...!!! The best guy in Rome since he is also Greek!!! Thank you very much for everything!!!

Great bar with live music in Rome and a very friendly service team. I was in Rome for four weeks and went to Mimesi several times. They serve very good drinks, the live music is fantastic, and we ate here several times, and the food was always very good. When I'm back in Rome, I'll definitely come back.

12/08/2025: We were welcomed and pampered from appetizer to dessert. Excellent location with indoor parking and outdoor seating.
11/07/2025: Truly excellent service and food. The restaurant could use some exterior maintenance, but considering the spring-summer season has just begun, it needs time. We returned yesterday, July 10, 2025, for the "Sorsi di Venus" evening in collaboration with the Ruffino winery, and we can confirm our excellent rating of the restaurant. The attention to my wife's lactose intolerance was excellent from the start. There was never a shortage of wine in the glasses. After the first round, they stopped by for a second glass, and they weren't at all tight on quantity. One of the owners, who was also present on the other occasion, was exceptionally kind and polite. It's definitely worth returning. We'll also recommend it to our special friends. The only drawback is the limited parking, as there's a lot used as a warehouse right below the restaurant. I suggest negotiating to ask for partial use of that space when the restaurant is open.

31/08/2025: We had booked for lunch and were seated outside (all good), except that we were very crowded (there were more tables than necessary in a small space) and in the sun because the umbrellas didn't cover some tables at all. We waited almost 40 minutes for our orders and just as long for the first courses. The dishes were all brought out of sync: an appetizer with a sandwich, followed by a pasta dish, and much later the main pasta dish. The sandwich and appetizer were very good and I recommend them, but the two pasta dishes (carbonara and gricia) were VERY tourist-catching, not good at all. All this was compounded by the waiters arguing with each other, and one waiter in particular was constantly complaining to us customers about the table arrangements and other things, saying he wanted to stay home, that he didn't want to be there, that he had to take vacation, etc. In short, not a very nice thing to hear. Finally, the bill, perfectly fair for what we ate, EXCEPT for the fact that they added a Coke and a bread basket that NEVER arrived at the table. For goodness sake, we paid €3, but at least they should be honest. If you're going to eat somewhere, I recommend taking out sandwiches and that's it.
