Great informal local pizzeria and steak restaurant cooked on wood fire, staff attentive and helped with parking, delicious food (best fresh ingredients, can recommend the white pizzas with truffle and panzenella salad) and wide selection of beers. Accommodated our group of 10 with no problem. Short walk to centre of old town (just outside walls). Definitely recommend for a no stress family meal with fantastic local food!

We had dinner tonight at Il Trovatore and it was quite an experience! Even though we didn't have a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. Very good ingredients and even better service!!! We wanted to try the Florentine steak, and they gave us wonderful advice. We were completely satisfied. It's worth going beyond the walls to enjoy it.

Benissimo da ogni punto di vista! Gestore supergentile e simpatico, servizio con i tempi giusti, ambiente accogliente, qualità delle pietanze elevata, conto nel complesso giusto considerando che siamo a San Gimignano. Consigliato!

08/09/2025: We've been here a few times over the years, but not for the last seven years because we've gone somewhere else on vacation. It's lovely to dine in the beautiful garden. The menu has changed slightly over the years, but the food is still delicious. The steak Fiorentina was perfect. Delicious dishes and wine, friendly staff, and the tiramisu was still just as we discovered it there years ago: fantastic!! Grazie!
30/08/2025: I always come back with pleasure. Value for money, service, and the best food in the Val d'Orcia.

26/08/2025: A very quiet place just steps from the Duomo. Excellent crostoni, definitely try the tomato and basil one. Excellent wine, friendly owner.
