The owner is an excellent person of the highest caliber, Salvatore is a professional from another era. The guys in the room Alberto and Franco are always available and always on point (a real added value to the activity). All accompanied by exceptional food and cooked to perfection.

We have been visiting Il Timone for years. It is a perennially reliable choice when you want a great seafood meal in the Salerno area. The prices are entirely fair and, as a family, we also appreciate that they have children’s changing facilities in the bathroom. A must visit establishment - their paccheri al astice are nothing short of revelatory.

Vuoi mangiare il pesce di qualità? Non puoi non andare al Timone, per me il primo ristorante di Salerno. Qualità assicurata, cordialità e servizio perfetto. Ci vado spesso da solo o in compagnia ed è sempre un’esperienza fantastica.

21/09/2023: Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Spaghetti cacio e pepe and Ravioli di pesce - all great! The spaghetti dishes are particularly recommended as they are typically Italian. The seating is a bit cramped, but that's due to the crowds. The service and friendly and attentive. Absolutely recommended!
16/09/2023: A very nice and above all good restaurant. You won't find any pizza or meat dishes here, but almost all starters and main courses are based on fish, and it is really tasty. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. It's a pleasure to eat here!
