Il Tamburino In Messina

We visited this trattoria for a seafood dinner and had a truly wonderful time. Everything was excellent, especially the appetizer, which was generous and well-prepared. The staff was extremely polite and helpful; they gave us excellent advice on our dish selection, and you could sense their passion for their work. The only small complaint concerns the restaurant, which could use a bit of a makeover to reflect the quality of the cuisine. Overall, however, it was a very pleasant experience, and I recommend it to anyone looking for good, authentic seafood cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.

The post-crossing dinner was very good, and they paid a lot of attention to me, a vegan; the others were very pleased with the quantity and quality of the fish dishes.

At Tamburino, you can spend a lovely evening with friends dining on quality, tasty, traditional Sicilian food, or even excellent pizza. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely. I'll definitely be back.

Great pizzas and great prices! Pizzas cost between €6-10, and a 0.66l beer costs €4.50! The food would be simply fantastic, if it weren't for the unfriendly staff! I don't think tourists are welcome there. Locals get a cover charge and quick service, but with tourists it takes longer, and the cover charge is just charged but never brought! Despite everything, I would go back again and again!

Returning to this historic restaurant after more than a decade, we found the same atmosphere and ambiance as always. No-frills pizza, excellent for the way it was eaten in the old days. Simple, high-quality toppings, good, old-fashioned dough. Highly competitive prices and extremely friendly staff. We'll be back without waiting another decade!

This has become a regular stop whenever I want to eat good seafood in Messina. I love the 10-piece appetizer (which I imagine can vary depending on availability), and the swordfish rolls are excellent, flavorful and not dry. The service could be a little more friendly, but whatever, it's a slow evening. The outdoor space is pleasant, and the tables for four are a bit small. Despite these issues, I absolutely recommend it.

If you're looking for a relaxing evening in a family atmosphere, with dishes cooked and served with love and dedication, Il Tamburino is the place for you. An experience you'll want to repeat.

I highly recommend it! Spacious rooms and a family atmosphere! We had dinner on a Saturday night, and despite the crowds, the service was fast and impeccable! Excellent food! I'll gladly return!
