A typical Italian-style café where I went to have the famous speciality coffee, which is their specialty and has made this establishment famous. It's a secret recipe, even though the coffee is prepared in front of you without you knowing what's added, which makes it something special. It's creamy and delicious, even though it's quite sweet. The service is self-serve; you order at the bar, and when it's ready, you pay and sit wherever you like.

You can't come to Polignano di Mare without trying this great coffee in one of the oldest coffee shops in the city (1920). In his shop, Mario Campanella created the “Caffè Speciale”, the original, mixing Amaretto combined with coffee and lemon peel, giving a combination of sweet and bitter in perfect balance, creating an attractive dark brown foam on the surface.

Posto dove sembra che il tempo si sia fermato, con il bancone rimasto quello dell'apertura dove anche i sapori sembrano quelli di una volta. Il caffè speciale con il sapore dell'amaretto, con la scorza di limone è qualcosa di incredibile.
