The cacciucco was undeniably good, deserving of 4 or 5 stars.
However, every other dish I tried, including the desserts, was fairly mediocre, starting with the pasta with clams, the fruit, and even the desserts.
The bill, to be honest, was very annoying; in my case, it stated "agreed-price menu," making it impossible for me to keep track of it.
The price, however, was high.

This historic restaurant located in the old town of Livorno has been famous for decades for the city's signature dish, cacciucco. I've dined there several times, always ordering it, and have always found the ingredients to be top-notch, served in generous quantities (in fact, the waiter recommends ordering nothing else). Despite this, I personally can't help but order a portion (perhaps a smaller one) of tagliolini with traditional Livorno sauce, which, in my humble opinion, is an exceptional seafood first course. Finishing your meal with a Livorno-style punch is a must. The quality/price ratio is also excellent.

A historic Livorno restaurant serving fish cacciucco (as well as many traditional Livorno first and second courses). The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, with the boss always ready with a joke and the honest, irreverent truth of a true Livorno native. Don't miss the Livorno-style punch.

Scoperto per caso arrivati da Roma ... un polpo eccezionale appena pescato (si sentiva!) ... anche il caciucco alla livornese, che è la tipicità del posto, é come fatto in casa dei pescatori livornesi di una volta !!
Siamo tornati dopo una settimana ... ne vale la pena !
Prezzi un po' troppo alti, ma lo meritano !

Il miglior cacciucco del mondo. Questo è il vero cacciucco livornese. Tipica trattoria classica, che ricorda quelle di una volta. Il proprietario è persona favolosa. Ti intrattiene con le sue barzellette e lo spirito livornese. Una volta mangiato qui il cacciucco, non lo dimenticherete mai più. Forse un pò caro, ma sicuramente ne vale la pena. Unica pecca,forse, il vino non proprio all'altezza del cacciucco.
