We went for lunch without a reservation on a Wednesday. We were passing through after discovering that Il Pendolo, in Ballò, was closed. The staff was friendly despite the full dining room. We ate deliciously on the veranda, in a refined but not overly formal setting, with fast service and, above all, an excellent white wine included in the daily menu. We left happy: 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 side dishes, 2 coffees, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of wine, and 1 bottle of water. At €40 total, these days, it's truly a dream!

A lovely little place, very popular even at lunchtime. Two dining rooms. One on the veranda and one inside. The green space around the restaurant is beautiful and well-kept. There's enough parking for all customers. Reservations are almost mandatory. I was there on a Friday for lunch, and having shown up practically as soon as they opened, I was lucky enough to find a table. One of the owners was very kind and found me a seat anyway. I therefore recommend calling to make a reservation, whether you're ordering the à la carte lunch or the "work" menu of the day. Very fast service; this allows for a certain turnover of customers. Some customers who arrived after me and didn't find a seat right away didn't have to wait long for lunch. The only flaw I found with the service was that they didn't offer me the work menu. I was in street clothes (not overalls), so I probably didn't look like a worker. I can't say how much the business menu costs, but I can say, after hearing the suggestions from the diners at the table next to me, that the menu includes first and second courses of meat and fish. The portions and presentation of the food were absolutely perfect for a good lunch. I therefore opted for the "à la carte" Appetizer: The tartare was excellent (I think it was minced, not chopped with a knife), a premium cut. No sinew, no bones, so it was good. The oil brought to the table to dress it was excellent. The artisanal crostini with butter foam was a good idea (which didn't seem very expressive to me... but excellent nonetheless). Second appetizer (I skipped the first course, even though an unusual onion soup particularly appealed to me). Scarletts with onions. Excellent...not the usual deli-style sinew. The onion flavor was delicate. Not overpowering. Good. Second meat. Braised Cheek with Polenta The cut was perfect (cheek doesn't always offer the possibility of having nicely shaped "slices"). Perfectly cooked. The sauce was good...perhaps the cooking wine was a touch acidic...but nothing special. Instant polenta, but well-balanced in flavor. White. Smooth, as they do here...almost creamy. Usually, after a good meal, one falls for coffee...and instead... I finished with a good coffee. The only drawback, but quality comes at a price: €38 with cover charge and water. (March 26)... I hope this was helpful to anyone who, like me, happens to be nearby.

09/06/2026: Intrigued by the many positive reviews, we wanted to try dinner at this restaurant. Upon arrival, the impression was excellent, a welcoming and charming location. As soon as we sat down, I noticed a slight inattention: there were no forks at my place. As for the food, they have several options, but what we had could definitely be improved. The zucchini flowers with ricotta and anchovies as an appetizer were good but not appetizing. Since I love cacio e pepe as a first course, I wanted to try them since I found them on the menu. They make them with bucatoni and with bacon added. Honestly, I wasn't thrilled with them; they weren't very balanced and a bit too salty. Plus, the bacon didn't add any extra flavor; in fact, it tended to make the dish even saltier. Definitely worth revisiting. The service was courteous, and I'd be curious to try the meat because the one I saw at other tables looked excellent.

31/05/2026: Gianfranca and Gianmaria are delightful people. When you enter the Bacaro, they welcome you into their home, making you feel at ease and pampered. The food is delicious, traditional home cooking, and simply delicious! A historic Noventa venue for years, they're not for Italians!
