Il Santo Bevitore In Firenze

This restaurant serves gourmet dishes, but they don't quite live up to expectations. The cod had way too much garlic. The service could be improved; the location is very beautiful. The bill is in line with the Florentine average for more sophisticated restaurants. I expected something better, what a shame!

The food is out of this world literally! The chef is a genius. I was literally overwhelmed with how sophisticated and creative is the food. I had vegetarian options Risotto with cavolo nero and chestnut cake which is a delicate bomb

We had an overall fine experience. The food was decent, nothing outstanding, but enjoyable enough. However, one thing to be mindful of is the bill. We noticed we were charged more for the wine than what was listed on the menu. I’m not sure if it was an honest mistake or something else, but when we flagged it, the staff weren’t particularly apologetic and became rather short with us afterward, which left a disappointing impression. The ambience itself was nice and made for a pleasant setting, but nothing about the experience stood out enough for me to consider it a must-go place. Strawberries were delicious, would recommend.

This is a must-visit place when you visit Florence. Everything is delicious!

Excellent osteria serving classic Tuscan dishes, revisited and improved. The liver pâté with crostini is excellent and a must-try. Excellent first courses and desserts. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly and professional service. Definitely worth a try.

The place of the heart in Florence

I had a wonderful time visiting this restaurant and went for a celebratory lunch here. The servers were kind and warm and the food was excellent. I would argue the octopus we had here was probably the best I have ever had. We also got the ravioli in broth which was great. The santo spritz was really delicious too. All round a great experience and would come back if I was ever in Florence. Warm vibe energy and great food!

We stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed the cozy, intimate vibe — a bit of a hidden gem tucked away from the main crowds. The menu changes seasonally, and every dish we tried was a delight. We Tried the fish and spaghetti dishes along with a glass of wine — all well-prepared and nicely presented. The service was relaxed and friendly, making it a pleasant midday break in Florence. A lovely spot if you’re looking for something authentic yet unpretentious.

Great food. More niche menu options, but all traditional Florentine ingredients. Busy, reservation was necessary. Loud, not for a talking lunch/dinner with 2. Would visit again.

Terzo e ultimo locale fiorentino dove terminare una serata tra amici fatta di un brindisi dietro l’altro e tanta allegria. All’esterno una bella movida, con gente di tutte le età a riempire la strada di chiacchiere e risate. L’atmosfera, all’interno, è quella da occhi appannati, con luci soffuse e pochi lumi a delineare i contorni degli ambienti e degli arredi. Siamo letteralmente andati a naso, lasciandoci ispirare dagli odori che provenivano dalla cucina e dalle proposte che più ci incuriosivano del menù. Con la faccia quasi sul piatto per vedere cosa stavamo mangiando, abbiamo assaporato e gradito tutto. Atmosfera magica, delicatamente soporifera, sembrava quasi di stare nel refettorio di un antico convento. Ottimo ristorante da provare e riprovare, sempre con lo spirito di chi ha voglia di staccare e prendersi il tempo che merita…
