The food was tasty, well prepared and seasoned. The service was very nice and helpful. The important thing is that they are open at 5 p.m., which is important for tourists from the north in the context of dinner.

Good, but nothing more. Basically I wasn't dissatisfied with the food, but that's why I wouldn't come back. Unfortunately, the service wasn't particularly well organized and wasn't particularly friendly or helpful. However, the absolute "no-go" was that the menu was incomplete (pizza was offered, but was not listed) and drinks were completely missing and therefore no price orientation was possible. The outdoor seating was initially very pleasant due to the light breeze in the hot summer temperatures (37°C), but as soon as the food was there, the extremely annoying wasps arrived. Personally, what particularly bothered me was the flower pot attached to the backrest of the screwed-on chair, the holder of which made it impossible to sit comfortably.

Il Salotto offered an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant has a charming ambience and the excellent food is complimented by a great selection of wines! Dinner tonight was at Il Salotto. I wandered in while looking for somewhere near my bus stop…plus it smelled amazing from the street. I had the pappardelle with wild boar as a primi and the chocolate cake for dulci. The pasta dish was delicious; it was the most obviously hand-made pasta I’ve had in Italy so far on this 12 day trip. The cake was exceptional. I rarely order chocolate cake because it can be too heavy for me. But this cake was exquisite. Just amazing. Great service and a nice quiet interior too. No outside tables but totally worth it to eat inside.

Ho trovato in questo ristorante un posto molto piacevole 3 accogliente...non troppo coperti cucina tipica senese molto buoni e con un buon servizio...provatelo!
