It was a restaurant we went to as part of a package tour, and Lasagna with ragu sauce was served. Vegetables, wedge potatoes, and watermelon were set out first. It was tasty, but a little salty for the Korean palate~ Still, I enjoyed the meal.

We had 2 fixed price lunches, everything was very good, including the grilled vegetable buffet, generous portions, price €15 per person, coffee included.

I've been in the industry for 54 years, since I was 9. I've really worked my way up, because it was in my family. Today I think I've reached an important milestone. I don't want to pass judgment, because perhaps in that area, that's how the dishes are made.

The service is the strong point, with the waitresses being active, present, and attentive. The kitchen loses points: having waited over 35 minutes for two mixed grills and seeing them arrive with a burnt chicken piece is unacceptable. Those in the restaurant business should know better than anyone that burnt meat is bad for you. Furthermore, turning the chicken piece so that the charred part wasn't visible seems really unfair to me. Since the rest of the dish was decent, they could have avoided sending an unsavory product to the table and said it was sold out! But if you don't care... the experience is over.

Excellent for lunch break, always a variety of dishes every day, possibility of pizza on certain days (I think), excellent side dish buffet which always turns out to be special.

22/07/2026: Antico Caffè Franchin is located in the historic center of Rovigo at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, 22. It enjoys a well-equipped and airy portico. Inside, the atmosphere is spacious and comfortable, tastefully furnished. The staff is friendly and professional, and always smiling during conversation. We stopped for a quick business lunch and the staff surprised us with culinary offerings that were definitely appropriate for the season and of excellent quality. We spent two peaceful hours savoring excellent dishes and good wine. Definitely worth a stop...
02/07/2026: How good is it? A lot. Excellent in many ways, almost everything, especially the pizza and cocktails! The wait staff and bar staff are knowledgeable and competent, and they love their jobs.
