Apart from that the food is exquisite, and we received much more than we have ordered, we felt among friends. Claudio, his wife and the whole staff made us feel at home. They speak excellent english and even better german :) Will definitely come again. P.S. The best tiramisu in the Universe.

Everything we tried was excellent! John travolta pasta and tiramisu are some of the best things I’ve ever tried! The staff are very kind and if you’re lucky enough to meet the owner like we did he is such a nice and funny guy!

Absolutely loved our experience at Il Profeta. It was recommended by friends and I am so happy we were able to get a reservation. It was by far the best meal that we experienced during our trip to Italy. Claudio, Claude and the rest of the team were fantastic!! The wine, food and service was exceptional. I told everyone we came across during our travels that this was a must visit restaurant and will continue to recommend to all of my friends at home who are traveling to Florence. I can't say enough about this 4th generation family owned restaurant. Thank you Claudio for an amazing memory of my time in Florence!! You also made a tiramisu lover out of me which I never thought was possible.

This is a family owned restaurant and they treat you like family. Our food was out of this world good. John Travolta had dinner there 10 years ago and they now called one of the pasta dish John Travolta. I didn’t order it, but they gave us samples to try. When we told him we didn’t want dessert they brought us tiramisu on the house. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped in at Il Profeta on a whim for a snack while exploring Florence with our baby and toddler. The wonderful team here made it such a highlight of our trip. The staff were warm and inviting, and suggested a wonderful meal with really beautiful quality ingredients. They even brought us some delicious extra tasters and invited our toddler to meet the excellent kitchen staff! Such a delightful experience with so much care given to the service we received. Thank you!

This restaurant was wonderful. Advise reservations, but they got us in at 7pm on a Sunday without them. The pasta was perfect, they even brought out a little sample of the "John Travolta" special for us to try. Staff is super attentive and helpful with the extensive menu. We couldn't resist trying two desserts... the chocolate "cake/ not cake but can't tell you what it is because it's a secret" was to die for.

Bright restaurant located near the St. Regis and The Westin hotel, more on the outskirts of the center part of Florence. The staff was very attentive. Favorite food we had was the veal with mushrooms. So good!

02/11/2024: We’ve been in Florence and the surrounding areas for over a week and this was our best meal. The beef tartare was fresh, the cappellacci was delicious and one of the more unique pastas we’ve tried, and wife’s gnochetti felt like a cozy homemade dish that matched the atmosphere and the great service. Highly recommend!
