i've eaten at every highly rated restaurant in Florence and this is by far the best I've had from the flavor to the selection to the fun atmosphere and service A+ My favorite restaurant in Italy so far

This restaurant is a Florence gem and dining experience. We have traveled from Rome through Tuscany to Florence. This restaurant - the owners who greet you - the wait staff who meticulously described the menu options and the chefs who prepared our amazing entrees, is outstanding.

The restaurant was expensive but worth it. We were a party of 9 and had a variety of appetizers, dinners and deserts. All were amazing. The owner and staff are warm and welcoming and turned it from just a meal to a dining experience.

We stumbled upon Il Profeta on a Wednesday evening, without a reservation and on a whim. What we found was nothing short of magic. As we approached the door, the host looked at us with a smile and asked, “But… are you hungry?” We didn’t realize the full weight of that question until we sat down. This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience, and that question is their quiet promise: if you’re hungry for food, connection, and warmth, you’re in the right place. From the moment we sat down, we felt seen, welcomed, and appreciated. Every element of the menu was lovingly explained to us. It wasn’t just about food—it was about being part of something personal. When was the last time a restaurant made you feel that way? The food was out of this world. The wine—perfection. And dessert? Don’t make yourself choose. Order all of them if you can. (We tried. No regrets.) The John Travolta pasta was a must-try—playful, rich, deeply satisfying, and unforgettable. The owner and his wife were kind, attentive, and full of heart. We felt like cherished guests at a beloved friend’s dinner table. We didn’t want the night to end. In fact, the only regret was that this was our last night in Florence. Had we found Profetta sooner, we’d have returned again and again. And we will. Not just to see David next time—but to come back here. I’ll Profeta is everything you hope to find in Florence, and rarely do. Do yourself a favor: go hungry.

Claudio and Martina could not have been more delightful! Make a point to dine with these beautiful people!!! The food was amazing!

Skip the Johnny Bravo-I don’t know what these delulu reviews are talking about. Would not return here on my next trip based off food or service. Go elsewhere!

Very high quality, staff always attentive to the customer, welcoming him and making him have an unforgettable evening. Thanks to Claudio and all his wonderful family, to the dedication he puts into his work, to the excellent food he offers and to the smiles that were never lacking during the evening. From Fiorentina I recommend it to all Florentines and to all those who want to spend a truly special evening!

Este era el restaurante más encantador de Florencia. Una visita obligada. El personal era muy amable y la comida era absolutamente deliciosa. El especial de "John Travolta" fue increíble. (Uno de sus favoritos). Sin duda volveremos! Gracias por la hospitalidad increíble!
