I stopped by for lunch while waiting for my rental car. I had the Tuscan wild boar pasta and Bolognese pasta, both of which were excellent. The wine list was interesting, and I was curious about the Tuscan salami set, but unfortunately, I didn't have time to try it. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere and was delicious!

You can tell he loves what he does, and that passion fills the entire restaurant. If you’re in Florence, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Il Profeta. It’s more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience you’ll be talking about long after your trip ends.

We came across this restaurant by chance and fortunately we could still get a table outside without reservation. The food is so good. The homemade Gnocchi is excellent. We would definitely come here again on the our next visit to Florence

My husband and I were told to come here and try the John Travolta ravioli(we shared an order so they split it for us in two plates❤️) because it was basically a religious experience, and it did not disappoint! Between the amazing service from our wonderful waiter and meeting the owners whose family has owned the ristorante for over 40 years, they treated us like family! The food… OH, THE FOOD! I could eat it every day! Where has this sauce been all my life?! Needless to say, if you get the opportunity to go and try the food and experience the amazing people at the Ristorante Il Profeta, just do it!!

My wife and I saw this place while walking by and decided to stop in because it was fairly busy in a not busy area. They were friendly and seated us no problem. The servers took their time explaining the menu to us, which includes a rotating list of specials they adjust every 2 to 3 weeks. We had the gnocchi, vegetable soup, and bruschetta. Everything was very tasty, and the staff was above and beyond. The owner came over to say hello. Very nice and friendly place to grab a good meal!

We have been traveling across Italy and this is by far the best restaurant. The owner is amazing and is so generous. Him and staff will make your time unforgettable. Not to mention, the food is one of a kind… exceptional. A must visit.
