We received a very warm and welcoming reception. The menu selection was small but excellent. We could make requests, which were then accommodated perfectly. The quality was first-class and always freshly prepared. The food stands out from the crowd, and they primarily offer local dishes. Gluten-free pasta dishes are also available, and the pasta itself is of the highest quality. The host recommends a wine to accompany each dish, which tastes superb and perfectly complements the entire culinary experience. All of this comes at a price, but you can taste the quality, and the atmosphere is filled with friendliness and warmth. It feels a bit like "coming home" 😊

I really don't understand why this restaurant is so highly rated. I'm not writing with bad intentions, just an objective review. There were 4 of us, we ordered 6 dishes, all mediocre. I would give a maximum score of 3.7. I hope that on the day the chef was absent and the lady on duty cooked, I have no other explanation.

A well-maintained and spacious restaurant, with very friendly, attentive, and helpful staff. A celiac's paradise! We ate excellent homemade pasta and a divine tiramisu. Along with water, they brought us two warm gluten-free sandwiches! I found the bill to be reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. We'll definitely be back!

If there's one place worth visiting in Vietri sul Mare, it's undoubtedly "Il Principe e la Civetta." The restaurant has a welcoming and elegant atmosphere, impeccable service, and cuisine that blends tradition and innovation in a remarkable way.
Today I had the pleasure of tasting three dishes that truly won me over.
The first, pacchero with tuna Genovese, was a revelation. The pasta, perfectly al dente, paired magnificently with a Genovese sauce that was bold yet never overpowering. The masterfully prepared tuna melted in the mouth, enhanced by the combination of Tropea onions. (I forgot to photograph it because after tasting it, I didn't even remember I had my phone with me.)
The second course was roasted tuna with mashed potatoes and pink peppercorns. The tuna, cooked to perfection, had a crispy crust that contrasted wonderfully with the softness of the rich, creamy mash. The pink peppercorns gave the dish a fresh note that further elevated the quality of the ingredients.
Finally, the eggplant and anchovy tart. This dish surprised me with its simplicity yet depth of flavor. The eggplant was tender, but not overly so, and the pairing with the anchovies was a perfect marriage of sweet and savory. A dish that tastes of sea and land, honoring tradition but with a modern twist.
Antonio Nolfi has outdone himself again.
