This is a small, quaint, local restaurant that offers possibly the best gnocchi in Milan. The restaurant is often very full with regular customers so tourists should be aware that the staff typically does not encounter too many non-Italian speakers (and hence their English is not the best vs more centrally located places). If you know the basics, you should be fine but that is very likely why some reviewers complained about the service — remember this is a locals restaurant in a non-central neighborhood. But the food is sublime. The gnocchi melt in your mouth and create little puddles of flavor on your tongue.

Locale molto accogliente sia per l'arredo che per la gestione. Il proprietario e chef è sorridente e molto comunicativo, appassionato del suo lavoro che svolge sin da quando era ragazzo. La varietà degli gnocchi è straordinaria e ci si può davvero sbizzarrire. Ci sono anche altri piatti, che però non ho assaggiato. Buonissimo anche il cous cous ai cereali, che ha ottenuto un premio, e i dolcetti alle mandorle. Tornerò sicuramente per provare le altre decine di varietà di gnocchi.

I've never been there, curious to try it also because I lived in that house for 13 years in via Cesana 10 and there was a greengrocer, a delicatessen, an appliance shop and I had a wonderful childhood. Now I'm not very well due to an operation and I'm convalescent, but surely as soon as I recover I'll be there with my family. I'm sorry I didn't bring my mother who died in July, I'll dedicate my dinner to her. See you soon and then Ali is very nice.. Fabio Lena I gave it 4 stars. I give it a 5 when I personally experience how important the nostalgia of youth is
