If you are looking for spaghetti with clams, linguine with lobster or turbot with potatoes, this place is not for you.
In every dish you can feel the passion, knowledge and care with which they are prepared.
From appetizer to dessert my level of satisfaction remained equally high.
Here the pasta is homemade, as are the desserts and the vegetables, sauces and fish are all very fresh.
Go there and you will thank me later.

We decided to visit the ""Ristorante il Parnaso" after a research on Google Maps about restaurants in the area where it would have been possible to enjoy the typical local cuisine from Cilento (known in Italian as the cucina Cilentana).
It was a Thursday evening and we were the solely guests but this isn't to be taken as a negative aspect being it a type of Restaurant where you "have to go".
It isn't located in a crowded place or along a road busy with traffic.
You need to drive, climbing the hills and really get to the place.
Having said that, we got the chance to be accommodated at a table on the terrace and, being both my wife and I slightly overweight, the owner was super nice in sweetly invite the waiter to provide for us two more comfortable chairs.
Being the weather nice we were blessed by a beautiful view as per shared picture.
The owner, who was taking the orders and acting as the Maitre, was very accurate in helping us through our choice from the menu.
According to our initial selection he suggested a combination of the service flow, postponing the delivery of one of the apetizer we choose as per his experience it would have been perfect as a side dish for the main course that I choose.
In relation to the main courses the explanation was concise and oriented to let us know what we were going to get beyond the simple indications printed on the menu.
It was very nice to realized that the idea behind the offer available is all based on what the territory is offering and is presented in a super discrete way.
While dining we had the perception of effectively having a local Zero KM food experience, not only because of the delicious flavour but also for the way the food was cooked.
Talking for example about the vegetables of the "Sinfonia di Verdure" we could really feel having a superb homemade dish cooked using what was coming from the garden.
And then the Dessert.
"The Cannoli Cilentani".
Too often when it comes to "Cannoli" the mind goes to those prepared with the "ricotta cheese filling".
In this case we were before a completely different type of preparation.
With a freshly made cream with Oranges and Lemon.
The invitation is to go there and try it.
We are looking forward to the next trip in the area to visit again.

Costantino, the owner of this fantastic restaurant, is a wonderful host with a good sense of humor!
We had a very delicious lunch with sophisticated spices and Cilento red wine of the region. Costantino's wife prepared the delightful food - congratulations!
Il Parnaso is located in a stunning spot overlooking Castellabate Borgo and the sea. The view is breathtaking!
I can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return the next time I am on vacation in Castellabate.

Consigliato da persone del luogo come eccellenza nei piatti tipici cilentani, si è rivelato all'altezza della sua presentazione. Ottimi piatti, sia le polpette di melanzane, che i primi fatti con pasta fatta in casa, noi abbiamo preso i tagliolini alici e pomodoro e le trofie al nero di seppia. Poi abbiamo continuato con una salsiccia ai ferri (eccezionale il finocchietto) e la scarola ripassata. Dolci a dir poco sublimi.... Ed il proprietario una persona squisita! Prezzi più che onesti!!! Da tornare assolutamentea
