Entering Il Palagio, located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, is like crossing the threshold of a culinary dream, surrounded by an elegance that is already evident in the spectacular entrance hall. The lobby, sumptuous and artistically decorated, sets the stage for a refined experience from the first moment: shiny marbles, period architectural details and a noble allure that exudes history and charm.
The cuisine, rightly awarded a Michelin star, lives up to every expectation. The attention paid to the raw material, the creativity of the combinations and the precision in cooking explode in tasty and balanced dishes. Each course tells the story of a gastronomic journey studied down to the smallest detail, where Tuscan tradition is dressed in modernity without forgetting authentic roots and flavours.
The service is no exception: the dining room team, friendly and smiling, accompanies guests on a journey of pampering and attention, without ever lapsing into cold formalisms. Professionalism is combined with an all-Italian friendliness, capable of immediately putting you at ease. The atmosphere, already enchanting in itself, becomes even more evocative thanks to the Christmas decorations: soft lights, precious decorations and festive touches that color both the common areas and the dining room with an aura of warmth and magic.
Overall, Il Palagio is not just a restaurant, but a complete experience. From the luxurious lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel, which transports guests to an oasis of art and glitz, to the excellence of the food and the friendliness of the staff, every detail comes together to create unforgettable moments. Absolutely recommended for those who want to experience the quintessence of starred restaurants in one of the most beautiful settings in Florence.

As long as you are well aware of what you're walking into (extremely expensive, very small portioned platings), I think this place is a beautiful experience. The service is spectacular; just a single example-- Since visiting Italy I noticed servers rarely refill water glasses unless asked -- here, mine was not halfway empty before being refilled. The atmosphere is very luxurious, beautiful decor everywhere. Pre fixed 5 course menu, and all the dishes we were served were masterfully crafted with layers of different flavors, was clear why this place received a Michelin star award. I think in the end it was just over 200 euro per person with a couple glasses of wine each, but if you don't mind price it's absolutely worth the trip.
