We stayed here in a "superior" room for 5 nights in August 2024. Location very good (each about 1 hour to Florence, Pisa or Siena), Volterra and San Gimigliano very close by. Good restaurant, breakfast unfortunately mediocre (e.g. only one, pre-cut sort of bread...). The house wine is served in front of the guest from plastic boxes. Pool nice, but clean is different. Too few loungers for all guests. But the worst was our superior room. Fantastically photographed on Booking, but in reality small, dirty, upholstery stank, hardly any light, small wardrobe, bathroom borderline ok. Don‘t want to bokk a standard room! Not to recommend, look for an alternative in this sight and spend 10.- more per night!

Beautiful rural hotel to disconnect for a few days. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. The “infinity pool” with views of the countryside is perfect after a hot day of sightseeing. The endless views of La Campiña are spectacular.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this property two weekends ago.
It was a positive experience from all points of view... the room, the location, the restaurant (excellent cuisine!), the beautiful infinity pool and the impeccable service.
We will definitely be back!
We recommend staying in this enchanting place, whether to enjoy a weekend in total relaxation or as a stopover to visit other places in Tuscany.

I had the pleasure of staying one night at the Palagetto agrihotel with my family, the place is enchanting in a 360° panoramic position with breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside, if you have time and desire enjoy the sunrise, the sunrise was an unforgettable experience, excellent food, the managers of the business are extremely helpful and friendly people, there is a relaxation area with infinity pool, possibility of renting e-bikes, highly recommended, I hope to return one day.

Fantastic location of this hotel...a marvel for the eyes...it's a shame that there are some slightly negative notes...deckchairs and sun loungers by the pool (even if they didn't work but we customers were there sunbathing) thrown there without no care and without any cleaning...the buffet was good but when it ran out of fruit or anything else it wasn't refreshed...various sweets and croissants without a written description of what it was (just to know what you're eating)....some little problem in the bathroom in the room... in short it's a real shame because the place is truly fantastic!!! This is not a criticism because I will return if I can... but it is important for you to pay more attention to certain things...
P.s. I took the most beautiful walk among the hay bales of my life

This complex could easily be the most beautiful hotel in all of Tuscany. Unfortunately, the operator is ignoring this potential, although only a few changes that would be neither costly nor complex would raise “Il Palagetto” to a significantly higher level. The fantastic, secluded location on a hill with a 360° dream view of a landscape that fulfills every cliché about Tuscany, coupled with the typical architectural style, makes your heart beat faster when you arrive. But soon the first visual downsides appear: All that's left of our canopy is the iron frame; in some other apartments, glass was still used there. The interior curtains were torn and dirty, there was only a single toothbrush cup in the bathroom and the furniture was pretty shabby and worn out. The complex is run as a 3-star hotel, for me it wasn't even two. We can live with the fact that the extremely weak WiFi is practically non-existent, or that we have to run away with 20 liters of water before we can finally take a warm shower, but the fact that the bath towels are stained and full of holes is unacceptable. The same goes for the felted wool blankets that no hygiene-conscious person would voluntarily cover themselves with. A pity. Unfortunately, this impression continues in the hotel's own restaurant: the chair covers are so dirty that you are reluctant to sit on them, and the tablecloths don't make a better impression. We were also dissatisfied with the breakfast: only dry white bread from a can, hard-boiled ice-cold eggs that probably only came from the fridge and overall a pitifully meager offering. You literally had to beg for every coffee and then wait forever for it, the staff seemed overwhelmed and sometimes listless and almost an hour before the end of breakfast most of the plates and platters were empty and were only refilled when asked.
Overall, you're left with a bad aftertaste. We don't need luxury and the simplicity also supports the style of the hotel in a friendly way, but certain basic standards and, above all, unconditional cleanliness are clearly missing here and so the conclusion is: We wouldn't want to stay here again and could also stay at "Il Palagetto". do not recommend.
