This 2-star Michelin restaurant, a MEMBER OF LES GRANDES TABLES DU MONDE, truly impressed us. We opted for a 14-course meal with wine and alcohol pairing, and it was an incredible experience! To start with we had a restaurant within restaurant experience having the whole room all to ourselves. The food was so creatively presented and unlike anything that we’ve ever tasted anywhere else in the world dinner lasted almost 4 hours and it was such a beautiful experience.

We went for dinner and opted for the MODE XL forty menu. The atmosphere was refined, and the wait staff was friendly and professional. The only slight oversight was when serving the "II Atto" (Act II), when the radish was presented to us as radicchio.
Overall, I enjoyed the food. Some dishes were truly fabulous ("A Shrimp at the Amusement Park," "Intensity of Flavors," and "Lamb"), while others didn't convince me ("Act II" and "Catch of the Day"). Throughout the tasting menu, I found Asian influences and bitter herbs too prevalent, appearing in almost all the salads, in one of the first courses ("Cavalli"), and finally in the first dessert.
The real flaw, which I couldn't accept, was finding a hair in the "La Dolce Clara" dish (pictured). I pointed this out immediately after the dish was served, and the wait staff promptly replaced it and apologized. This was hardly acceptable in a Michelin-starred restaurant. I left the restaurant feeling disappointed, and despite the apologies, I remained.

What a wonderful evening. Highly recommended.
Il Pagliaccio is a culinary experience that combines a sense of style with a passion for innovation. Ideal for couples, special occasions, or fine dining enthusiasts. It's somewhat less suitable for classic "cucina povera" lovers. The two Michelin stars are absolutely deserved.

If you come to Il Pagliaccio looking for good food you will be disappointed, because here you will find an experience that will stay with you for life. My friend and I requested the parallels menu, a 14-course menu in a private room. We expected a dinner of a certain level and instead I still don't know exactly how to describe the evening because calling it a "dinner" is extremely reductive. The years of experience and study of the dishes are noticeable and the palate begins to travel from one continent to another. The waiting staff was incredible, all very professional but above all willing to satisfy our every curiosity. Even the chef and the pastry chef came to talk to us. You can see that for all of them it is not just a job but a passion, and it makes all the difference in the world. I recommend this experience to everyone.
If you come to Il Pagliaccio looking for a good meal you will be disappointed, what you will get instead is so much more than that, truly an unforgettable experience. Me and my friend requested the Parallels menu, a 14 dish adventure in a private room. To call what we experienced just a "dinner" would be extremely belittling. The years of experience and study of the chef can be clearly seem through every dish, each one of them will take your taste buds on a trip to different continents. The staff was impeccable, very professional and very patient with us, answering all of our questions. Even the chef and the chef patissier came out of the kitchen to talk to us. It is clear that for these people it is not a simple job but a time tested passion, and they reflect this passion towards the customers. I recommend this experience to everyone.

Cuando decidimos visitar Italia, también nos comprometimos a probar una serie de restaurantes con estrellas Michelin (disfrutamos, y tenemos suerte, de tener una serie de lugares excelentes aquí en Chicago). Hicimos reservas para seis (! ) restaurantes con estrellas, dos cada uno en Nápoles, Florencia y Roma.
Il Pagliaccio es un restaurante de dos estrellas, con un íntimo 10 mesas (y un restaurante privado). Ofrecen dos menús degustación para la cena, con 5 u 11 (en nuestro caso, con el menú otoño/invierno) opciones de platos. Sin menú a la carta. Como siempre, seleccionamos el menú degustación más grande, y el maridaje de vinos estándar. El comedor tiene mesas de madera desnudas con focos en la parte superior, un suelo de baldosa de tablero de ajedrez y asientos para banquetas y sillas. El comedor se divide en dos secciones, un gran arco que forma la línea divisoria.
La cena comenzó de una manera caprichosa: 4 uno - morder artículos presentados entre dos ramas pintadas de oro. Sus habilidades de servicio fueron puestas a prueba durante este curso. Uno de los bocados fue un "plato" de galletas muy delgado lleno de remolacha picada - mi esposa lo recogió de los lados y se rompió justo en el medio, derramando el contenido sobre la mesa. Los servidores limpiaron rápidamente el accidente, y antes de que hubiéramos terminado el curso, sacaron un artículo fresco (que se recogió con mucho cuidado y se comió sin incidentes). Un curso de ostras con manzana y mozzarella fue acompañado por un inesperado lado de "candy floss" (algodón de azúcar). El pez monje con kiwi, alcaparras y anchoa fue el plato destacado. Disfrutamos de los maridajes de vinos, donde de nuevo algunos vinos se sirven a través de dos platos. Nuestra experiencia duró un poco más de 3 horas. Quizás nos quemaron un poco los restaurantes de alta cocina, siendo esta nuestra sexta visita, pero no sentimos que la noche cumpliera con nuestras expectativas.

Complimenti allo chef Genovese che riesce ad azzardare questa cucina italo: asiatica : veramente ben fatto .
Tutto si bilancia nel migliore dei modi , ma devi dire che l’ostrica al Luna Park è DEVASTANTE.
Abbiamo an ho avuto il privilegio di conoscere lo CHEF , persona veramente eccezionale .
Ma anche tutto lo staff veramente sul pezzo .
