We discovered Mattie's Mill almost by chance several years ago when we were looking for a place where we could spend a few days of holiday immersed in nature and with the possibility of being in contact with the horses. Mattie's Mill combines all this; despite being not far from Turin (about 30 minutes by car) it is located in the greenery of Val Susa, at the base of the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park, close to the Moncenisio pass and 20 minutes by car from the Vialattea ski area. The structure consists of a restaurant, a residential "hamlet" (the old mill) and a riding school, all surrounded by lawns and large green spaces. It has parking for around twenty cars. The restaurant serves typical Piedmontese cuisine while offering the opportunity to taste dishes from other regions without forgetting vegetarian, vegan or celiac customers. The food is very good and the aromas that emanate from the kitchen prepare the palate for tasting them. Here we must forget about diets!!! The staff is always available to satisfy every customer's need. The outdoor space allows you to host weddings. The housing structures, built in typical mountain style with a stone slab roof, are made up of approximately 15 rooms and a small apartment. The rooms range from 2 to 6 beds, are furnished in wood and offer the opportunity to rest while enjoying the silence of the mountain. The adjoining riding school, consisting of a stable and two fields, one of which is covered, allows you to take riding lessons at all levels, experience stable life, as well as take walks in the nearby woods. There is also the possibility of horse boarding.

It is the place of the heart... all said! We have been going there for years. Exceptional cuisine based on local ingredients, extremely relaxing environment. Absolutely worth trying!

Ristorante con camere e maneggio. Location immersa nella natura dove bellezza naturale, ospitalità e buon cibo si uniscono. Camere spaziose, accoglienti e molto pulite. Colazione molto buona, varia con prodotti locali o artigianali. Ristorante con piatti della tradizione locale sapientemente preparati. Il menù degustazione a 35€ è ottimo e abbondante.

Really great restaurant. Dishes from the Susa Valley and Piedmont. Very courteous and attentive service. The tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were truly delicious! The breakfast is also worth it. Local products and homemade cakes.
