I went to this restaurant with my partner and our dog. The place feels very homey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was traditional, but not very varied.

Recommended by the Piombaia farmhouse, Il Moro restaurant was a wonderful discovery! Fantastic staff, authentic Tuscan cuisine, generous portions, and fair prices. The pici are delicious, and the local wine tasting is not to be missed. It's a place where you eat well, feel good, and want to return. Highly recommended! 🍷 🇮🇹

High quality Tuscan home cooking with very good service. You can enjoy very good wines from a highly prestigious DO and very good food at a very good price.

A great restaurant. The appetizers were delicious, crostini and bruschetta. The pasta with porcini mushrooms was also delicious. We were served a glass of Brunello di Montalcino with a side of Cino Rosso di Montalcino and a few slices of charcuterie! The service was pleasant too. I recommend it.

The place was simply excellent. We had artichokes, salad, pappardelle all’ aglione, the veal with lemon and gelato and almond cake. Casual atmosphere, family run feel, welcoming efficient service, great value. Make a reservation because the place was Pa led with mostly locals and a few lucky tourists. Sorry about the pictures of empty plates- it was just so good, I forgot to take them 😊

A typical 1980s tavern atmosphere, traditional and tasty food, and friendly staff. If you want good food without too many frills, this is the place for you.

The best osteria in the Val d'Orcia! We went here for lunch and were delighted to discover it was the best place we ate during our week in the Val d'Orcia! All the dishes we tasted were exceptional, with traditional, top-quality ingredients! The portions were also generous. All at a truly low price by today's standards! Add to this the family-like and super-friendly service that makes you feel pampered, just like at your grandmother's house. In addition to what we ordered, we were treated to a glass of excellent Brunello, an additional portion of pecorino cheese (not included in the price), a sampling of all the house desserts accompanied by a sweet sparkling wine, a passito, and a vin santo for the biscotti (all for only €5 per person!!!). Finally, we were also treated to a Brunello grappa. I've never been treated so well in a restaurant! I've attached photos of the dishes and the receipt to demonstrate the excellent value for money of this fantastic place (which also has a picture-perfect terrace, where you can eat during the warm months). We ate: - Appetizer with warm pecorino cheese and honey - Pici all'aglione - 2 half portions of main courses (they were basically two dishes, for just €13 total!) - Free extra portion of pecorino cheese - Free green salad - Half a liter of house wine (we were given almost 1 liter for €6, very good by the way) - 2 portions of cantucci with vinsanto (at the waiter's suggestion, we were brought 1 portion of cantucci and vinsanto and 1 sample of all the house desserts with 2 other different wine pairings) - Free Brunello grappa - 2 coffees All for €56! And we left feeling super full, like after a Christmas lunch. Try it and believe it! If I could give it 6 stars, they'd all be deserved. Super compliments! We'll definitely be back!
