Great food, but the wine is served warm, and the waiter did not allow us to order a different pasta per person, he insisted we all had the same pasta as it would be easier to cook (we were a group of 4). However the elderly gentleman who recieved us at the door was extremely polite. The carbonara is great, the prosciutto and melon entree was amazing (a must have), but I do not recommend their version of the tiramisu.

Among the best carbonaras I've ever eaten, typical of Rome, excellent quality.

An institution in Rome. Top-notch quality of raw materials. Competent and fast service. One of the best Amatricianas you can eat in Rome. Highly recommended.

In a city full of tourist restaurants, this was a welcome authentic Roman meal (even though we were tourists). Everything was perfection from the deep fried artichoke ("Jewish style") to the Bucatini, everything was delicious. Service was professional and attentive without being stuffy. Wonderful meal and highly recommended

Yesterday we went to lunch and were very excited. We were greeted very cordially. We proceeded to order, and that's when the misery began. I ordered a glass of white wine, and the waiter didn't offer me a taste and poured the whole glass. I didn't like the wine and didn't complain because I wanted to give it a try. We received our appetizers: echokes and a Caprese salad. I had to ask the waiter several times to bring us olive oil and balsamic vinegar. First, he brought the olive oil, and we told him we also wanted balsamic vinegar, and the waiter, very irritated, brought the ingredients for the salad one by one. For our main course, we ordered pasta. Two portions arrived first, and finally, the last portion arrived. We couldn't eat together. The man who served us was inattentive, and the service was terrible: rushed and unfriendly. The food wasn't bad at all. However, a meal without good service isn't worth it.

Excellent food and impeccable service. Veal sambuco was the best I've ever tasted. Carbonara was perfect. And real Romans eat there: there were two couples with their very well behaved little dogs sitting outside. Tourists don't bring their dogs.
