Very good care for gluten free / celiac guests. Very good tuscan dishes. Excelent overall experience!

A highly recommended experience. The value for money is truly exceptional considering the restaurant's location and the quality of the ingredients. The house wine is also excellent. The tiramisu is noteworthy, a true cloud.

Came here for its reputation of traditional Florentine steakhouse. The restaurant opened after 730pm and there was a huge line outside. We had to make reservation a day before because this place looked quite popular. Inside there were mix of locals and tourists like us. It had friendly waiters, prosciutto hanging from the ceiling, and tight seating.
We ordered the Family Style Ribeye Steak Chianina Certified. They brought the cerficiation paper showing the meat was from Chianina. We were impressed and we felt there was no need to bring such proof.
So they brought in bread, appetizers, prosciutto, rice salad, beans, potatoes, pasta... They were all delicious and well made. I had high expectation for the ribeye...
The ribeye came out raw. It was unexpected and surprising. The blood was in the meat and it felt chewy. I couldn't enjoy it. I am more used to medium rare. I politely asked the waiter to bring it back to the kitchen and cook it into medium rare. The waiter refused saying it is the way it is. It was traditional Florence steak, and the chef would also refuse to cook it further. I gave up. I gotta say traditional Florence style steak is not my taste. Perhaps for other people
Everything else afterwards was great. The tiramisu, panna cotta, and the complimentary drinks and the coffee. I gotta say the service was spot on
Overall, I enjoyed everything but the steak. Total bill was over 200 euros. If i had known florence steak was raw, i wouldn't have come here. It was an expensive teaching. I hope this review helps the reader to test out traditional florence steak elsewhere before committing to expensive trial. ; )

We made a reservation at the restaurant, but upon looking at the menu, it became clear that most of the meat dishes were served undercooked, in addition to the limited options available, which was not suitable for us, so we decided to leave without trying the food.

Amazing food and excellent service. The prices are very reasonable for the quality.
The presunto and salami were outstanding, and I tried the eggplant, the sauce was absolutely delicious.
Definitely a place to visit and come back to.

It was our first time in Florence, and this was the best dinner we've had. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming.
The best part for us was the customer service. The waiter who served us advised us on the menu and also informed us about all the traditional dishes we were going to eat.
It was a real pleasure to be served by him, especially when some customers at the next table were very rude to him. Even so, he handled the situation perfectly. A true professional who undoubtedly made our visit unforgettable.

We went there over the end of the year!
You probably won't be able to get in unless you make a reservation first, but it's easy.
Just show up at the appointed time, give your name, and they'll guide you in one group at a time.
The area in front of the restaurant was packed with people when it opened.
I asked if they recommended the Florentine bone-in or boneless steak, and they recommended the boneless, so I chose that.
They said the minimum was 1.5kg, so I went with the minimum.
I think they said the bone-in was 1.9kg minimum.
After waiting 20-30 minutes, the bistecca arrived, rare inside and with a satisfying bite!
We ordered with the intention of leaving some, but the two of us managed to finish it all! The grilled vegetable garnish was also delicious.
You can choose from the house wine, so it's easy to choose.
As this is a famous bistecca restaurant, I recommend going at least once to experience the atmosphere.
The staff were also kind and helpful, even for Japanese people with poor English.
Grazie.

Beautiful location, typical Tuscan dishes, it's changed a lot from 20 years ago when there were tables where you ate with whoever happened to be there and the bottle of wine was always available for free consumption, but it's still good.

The restaurant that has remained in our hearts for ten years... and, therefore, we must visit it every time we pass through Florence. Everything is excellent: the meat, the pasta, and of course the wine. Top-notch service, thanks to the professionalism of the waiters.
Thank you so much, we'll be back soon.

The Michelin guide overrated this one in my opinion. For atmosphere alone, I rank this place pretty highly cause it is very cute, but food and service wise ( at least for non-italians), it could be better.
Food experience wise, it does not meet the standard for bib gourmand in my opinion. The flavor is just not there. The steak is chewy and the cutlery is dull, making cutting the steak a chore. The pasta is heavy on the fennel/fresh pepper (not sure what the little black balls are) and undercooked (al dente should not be sticking to your teeth and that hard, as far as I know). The bread is stale (fresh, yes, but its been sitting out for too long and with the cold has lost its moisture).
I would recommend going elsewhere.
