Il Latini In Firenze

I don’t give 5 stars, but we went last night and I was very happy. We had a reservation at 730 and there was a scrum at the entrance as they let in everyone at the same time, a bit weird, but everyone was in good spirits. The waiter was great, explained everything we asked, my wife doesn’t take rare meat, so unfortunately, we didn’t have the Florentine steak, but we ordered the Vegetable “soup”, crostini, grilled vegies, veal and sirloin steak (we asked for medium). The crostini was liked by my wife, who enjoys liver and tolerable by me. The vegetable soup was surprising as it’s not what you expect from a soup, but tasted good. Grilled vegies was a meh. But the steak and ESPECIALLY the veal was amazing! Cooked to medium perfectly and the fat rendered so well! Melt in your mouth, we finished the entire thing down to its bone! When the waiter asked if everything was good, we could only point to the empty plates! I never give 5 stars, but this place gets 5 stars! Thoroughly enjoyable! We spent €106 for 3 people, the bread was free (usually the mark of a tourist trap!)

What a lovely dinner at Il Latini. Food We had the roasted pigeon and beef filet for our 1st dinner in Florence. The roasted pigeon was seasoned well and flavourful. That said, I thought the pigeon may have been slightly overdone. The beef filet was divine and cooked to perfection. We loved it. We paired the 2 mains with grilled vegetables. We also had the tomato and bread soup. The soup felt authentically tuscan. While the name of the dish appears simple, we felt warmth in our hearts as if we were eating a dish cooked by our grandmothers. For dessert, we had tiramisu. Please try if you are there for a meal. Do not skip this dessert. Service was excellent, attentive and efficient. Reservations recommended, if possible. We arrived at the restaurant about 15-20mins before dinner service started. There was already a queue. Restaurant is popular and quite busy.

We visited Da Il Latini, and the experience was truly extraordinary, one that will stay with you forever and that best represents the Florentine gastronomic tradition. The location, located in the heart of Florence, is charming and atmospheric: a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, lively and authentic, where you can sense the essence of Tuscan cuisine from the very first moment. Given the large number of guests, reservations are absolutely required, but it was worth every minute of the wait. From a culinary perspective, we ate magnificently, from appetizer to dessert. I started with a delicious mix of Tuscan cheeses, truly excellent in quality and intense flavors; I also sampled the mixed cured meats and the famous ash-crusted onion, both typical dishes prepared to perfection. Each course exudes care, tradition, and high-quality ingredients. The first courses were special, rich, and flavorful, but the restaurant's true masterpiece is undoubtedly the Fiorentina steak: a simply perfect steak, cooked to the perfect temperature, juicy, tender, and rich in flavor. A culinary experience worth a visit in itself, a must-see for anyone visiting Florence. Despite the restaurant being completely packed, the service was impeccable: fast, attentive, friendly, and extremely professional. The staff truly deserves praise for their ability to manage the large crowds while always maintaining a smile and attentive service. In conclusion, Da Il Latini is a restaurant that perfectly embodies Tuscan tradition, a place where you can eat excellently and be welcomed with great hospitality. Highly recommended!

I love this restaurant. It was first experience having bistecca alla fiorentina. Wow! The steak was very flavor; I didn't even need to put salt on it. The best part was the staff and service. They were very attentive and helpful. Also, the atmosphere was memorable. I am so glad we went here.

Great food & service. The lasagna lived up to the hype

Excellent traditional Tuscan restaurant in a traditional setting. I didn't give the food five stars because I didn't have the opportunity to eat meat, desserts, or drink wine. I'll reserve a more detailed review of the food quality until I'm able to return.

Great place! A bit more expensive than its counterparts, but definitely worth a visit when in Florence

Serata meravigliosa e buon cibo ,servito dal cameriere Edoardo molto preparato e gentile,lo consiglio e bellissimo posto.

Sono stato nel locale un sabato sera di Luglio, cibo molto buono ( creste al coniglio, pappa al pomodoro e affettati). Consigliato per una cena tra amici o in coppia! Non do cinque stelle causa location un po’ da rinfrescare e servizio non da cinque stelle ( assolutamente non gravi errori ma piccoli come ad esempio lo confusione nel sevizio dell’acqua chiesta naturale e portata frizzante) e la mancanza del piccione come seconda portata.
