Brilliant small restaurant just off the main tourist routes in Orvieto.
Delicious food - shared antipasto of local specialties, then tagliatelle with rabbit and gnocchi with aubergines.
Friendly and humorous service.
Lunch included entry to the amazing tunnels under the restaurant.
We were the only customers, and I cannot understand why- please walk an extra 100 yards to enjoy this lovely local restaurant and its fascinating extra feature.

We arrived with a large party without reservation on a weeknight. The staff accommodated us by opening up a new section of the restaurant which was very kind. Our server helped explain the food and brought dishes to the kids early as they were very hungry. The food quality was spotty… the labyrinth appetizer was very good. We ordered a variety of pastas and mains. The special of the day, gnocchi, was very soft and airy. My son loved it and ordered 2 plates. The pasta primavera was solid. The umbrichili with white boar ragout was extremely salty and nearly inedible. My husband’s umbrichili amatriciana was also on the salty side and just ok. I would give the food 3.5 stars if I had the option as some of our party loved their dish and others not so much. The service and atmosphere though were excellent. After dinner we were invited to explore the underground caverns which were very fun for the kids. Worth a visit.

Purchased entrance as part of the Orvieto Card. We didn't dine at the restaurant.
Make sure to download the sign information in English ahead of time from their website. There is no cellular service in the building, and the wifi did not work properly for me. Alternatively, use Google Lens (with Italian language downloaded for offline use) to translate photos of all the signs into your preferred language.
The size of the cave is surprising, and it is well-lit and easy to navigate with handrails.
There is one public entrance to the building, which is directly in the middle of the restaurant. If you go during peak lunch hours, and are only going for the underground visit, they may ask you to wait among the tables until someone comes with an iPad to scan your ticket barcode.

Beautiful food and wine at the restaurant for lunch then free entry to the labyrinth. What a gem of a find. Not many people there so it was easy to have a good look around at the various areas. Look at the website though for English explanations as all the printed information was in Italian only.

We wandered by this restaurant earlier in the day and decided to come back for dinner. Our waiter Antonio was excellent - his broken English was good enough! The food was delicious, the grilled mortadella was as a nice appetizer, the ricotta gnocchi delicious, and the wild boar umbricelli (pici pasta) was to die for. And after dinner, we were able to take a tour of the underground labyrinth caves. Very cool.

Very suggestive place, very good food but above all with an underground that you don't expect and that leaves you speechless
