Since it was Wednesday, the rumored popular restaurant was closed. So I looked for another store and visited! This was a big hit 👏
The waiters are also polite and kind. Umbrichelli has a great texture that somehow reminds me of Japanese miso stewed udon, and I think it might be popular with men as well. The fried egg appetizer topped with the famous truffle is also very delicious. The truffles are so fresh and not salty!
The famous white wine is also delicious.
After you finish eating, you will be guided to the underground ruins. It's amazing that it has become a tourist attraction as well.

Welcoming atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff.
Food is an authentic experience. Quality without compromise. If you appreciate truffles you will not find a better restaurant in the city than this one. The desserts deserve a separate discussion, all produced by them, nothing packaged or industrial.

The place is magical, a restaurant located right above a maze of caves and galleries that preserve archaeological treasures of great importance and which have their origins in the distant Etruscan period. The dishes are delicious and well presented, the ingredients are of excellent quality. The fantastic waiter Antonio enlivened our lunch with his enormous friendliness and professionalism. An experience to repeat every time we return to wonderful Orvieto.

I ate for the first time in this restaurant in Orvieto that I had never tried before and I was very surprised. The food, traditional and of excellent quality, was really delicious. The waiter was very approachable and super friendly and made us have a pleasant evening. At the end of the dinner we also visited the famous underground labyrinth which is definitely a gem worth visiting in this very nice place. The only thing to point out is the price is slightly above average for restaurants in Orvieto. Despite this, I would happily return 🥰

Good food. Fair price. Confused and unfriendly staff. They were rude when we asked for olive oil to leave on the table, claiming that customers just eat bread with olive oil and leave. This is because we had already placed our orders.

Brilliant small restaurant just off the main tourist routes in Orvieto.
Delicious food - shared antipasto of local specialties, then tagliatelle with rabbit and gnocchi with aubergines.
Friendly and humorous service.
Lunch included entry to the amazing tunnels under the restaurant.
We were the only customers, and I cannot understand why- please walk an extra 100 yards to enjoy this lovely local restaurant and its fascinating extra feature.
