We were greeted with courtesy and kindness. We began with the appetizers, which were delicious, and the chili pepper compote that accompanied the cheese was a spectacle. For the first courses, we tried the venison sauce in white sauce with porcini mushrooms and truffle tortelloni, delicate on the palate and fragrant, excellent. The second courses were tender meat with a spectacular sauce. Finally, the desserts were a special tiramisu and a delicious tart. P

In a picturesque landscape, this culinary treasure trove of family-style cooking exudes a homey, unobtrusive yet respectfully delicate welcome. Tasty dishes with balanced flavors, especially the truly exquisite desserts, in fact, a quote from my teenage son: "They make the best tiramisu I've ever eaten here!"

A very welcoming place in a unique historic setting. Super friendly and cheerful staff. Exceptional food. A must-see for anyone visiting Calcata. A complimentary amaro is offered by Francesca (fantastic, with a smile like few others in this town).

We stayed at this wonderful place and had lunch at Il Grall. The food was excellent, the porcini mushrooms were excellent, and the Grall-style nests were a must-try. Thank you for your hospitality.

Kind and friendly, Sergio was polite and quick. Excellent food. I've never eaten grilled zucchini so well done in every way, like the beef stew. Excellent value for money. EXCELLENT I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE INTENDING TO HAVE LUNCH IN CALCATA.

Nel centro del borgo antico, raggiungibile solo a piedi. Tavoli anche all'esterno: molto piacevole la sala interna, con ottima scelta della musica in sottofondo; servizi puliti. Servizio rapido, cortese, accogliente, cordiale, attento. Menù ben assortito, con piatti del territorio (e qualche sconfinamento in Toscana: il peposo è eccellente). Rapporto qualità / prezzo onestissimo. Da raccomandare senza alcun dubbio. P.s.: ho notato recensioni molto negative risalenti al 2021 / 2022; alcuni dettagli mi fanno pensare a una gestione precedente; in caso contrario, ho la sensazione che i problemi menzionati in queste recensioni siano stati risolti.

19/10/2025: A haven of peace amidst the chaos of a Roman Saturday night. Elegance and refinement, attention to detail, and a wealth of pampering. Surprising dishes, original pairings, and exhilarating flavors, all served with excellent and perfectly paired wines. A huge thank you to the Chef and all the staff for a wonderful evening.
30/09/2025: Loved everything about this place! The setting is so creative. I studied art in collage so I found it really fun when they used real paintbrushes to spread the butter. Maybe it’s just my personal taste, but I felt the pasta was a bit too firm. All the other dishes were delicious, full of clever little details, and most importantly, the design and flavors blended seamlessly together without feeling forced. I had such a happy birthday here. To end the night, the chef even came out to greet everyone and ask about our experience, I really appreciated that!

10/10/2025: We've been to many restaurants, but none as exceptional! The restaurant is in a somewhat remote location; we were the first to arrive, and when we left, there was only one local and two families. Right in the middle of Rome, it's incredible! The waitress was incredibly kind, very patient, and took the time to explain everything on the menu. Regarding the main course: I'd never tasted such tender, juicy, and flavorful meat. The desserts were also exceptional. Having tasted one tiramisu a day, it was the best! We often talk about it, and the common conclusion is: we can't wait to go back! Best discovery in Rome. When we wanted to go back before leaving, we learned it was a public holiday, but we can't wait to go back and try other specialties!
07/10/2025: Very delicious food. Seafood Spaghetti is super good.
