In an absolutely magnificent setting on the Appian Way, Giulia and her brothers' Il Giardino restaurant is a gem in its simplicity. Giulia stands out for her friendliness and attentiveness to her customers, but the entire staff is extremely kind and welcoming. We felt at home, and that alone makes the whole dinner worthwhile ❤️ Good food and fair prices. We'll be back!

A mid-August lunch at "Giulia e i suoi fratelli" is a must. Excellent cuisine, excellent service. Giulia and Laura are two wonderful hosts.

A beautiful restaurant with the most amazing, welcoming staff! Definitely stop by if you are visiting the Appian Way and the catacombs. The food was delicious and the hospitality was fantastic!

More than a restaurant, we felt like we were eating at a friend's house. Try the cacio e pepe and tiramisu! Giulia and her mother are so sweet, a welcoming team, and a friendly atmosphere. A pleasant stop on the Appian Way.

A wonderful experience, I went back to the 90s and 2000s. Good food and 100% Roman atmosphere. Impeccable service.

The quality of the meat is excellent, the wait staff is extremely helpful, the fried foods are well-made, and the house white wine is particularly delicious. There is ample parking along the Appian Way.

If I could give 6 stars I would!! We had the most wonderful lunch here! We were walking the Appian Way and stopped in not knowing we had discovered a secret garden restaurant. The food was amazing, atmosphere beyond fabulous and extraordinary service-friendly and helpful.

Mille Grazie Giulia! 😊 Llegamos a este restaurante por casualidad y nos sentimos inmediatamente abrumados por la hospitalidad de Giulia, la excelente comida y el fantástico servicio. Teníamos Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana y Risotto agil espárragos y una variedad de pasteles como postre. Es un lugar encantador, sin lujos. Realmente disfrutamos de estar allí y sin duda volveremos la próxima vez.

Onestamente avevo, da romano, l'impressione di un locale "per turisti", location bella ma i piatti mah, saranno le solite portate finto romane... E invece no, per niente. Molta cortesia. Bellissima location all'aperto, forse migliore rispetto all'interno, con il sole si sta una favola. Ci offrono due bruschettine al pomodoro, una piccola coccola. La mia compagna vuole un calice di vino, gliene portano un bicchiere solo per assaggiarlo, poi il calice vero e proprio. Grigliata mista di carne x2, beh non l'abbiamo finita... Un amaro, una birra media, 50€, con ricevuta. Al pagamento ci regalano la riproduzione di una piccola stampa del 1700, raffigurante il mausoleo di Cecilia Metella. Bravi, e scusate la diffidenza.

28/08/2025: Wonderful place, the outdoor tables and decor definitely stand out. Wonderful food, generous portions, and the price is incredible, super affordable. Great service, everything was wonderful.
28/08/2025: First time at this address. A very warm welcome, she was slightly distracted to guide us to the menu because she could see we were interested. The service was top-notch, both in terms of kindness, politeness, and speed. The setting is idyllic, a change from restaurants where cars pass by on the terrace just inches from the tables, and the same goes for the noise (few people passing by at 10 p.m.). The point that justifies the rating my wife and I agreed on: the quality of the products... Regarding the price, the tomatoes are comparable to those in supermarkets in terms of quality (taste), and the mozzarella is disappointing because we thought it would be better being in Italy (perhaps our expectations for it were too high, being big fans of mozzarella in France 🤷‍♂️). The women received red roses from the waiters, which were very much appreciated, and then at the end of the meal, the surprise of having good chocolate offered by the waiters! I'm responding to a comment the woman and I read: I don't think it's really a tourist trap, and the waiters are, as you read above, very kind and welcoming, even with French people (they asked us where we were from when we arrived). To summarize, I recommend it, but if the quality of the antipasti products doesn't change, you can ignore the quality. However, there are good comments about the dishes and the fish.

19/08/2025: Everything was excellent, from the pizza to the pasta dishes, and everything else. The service was friendly and the value was excellent. I highly recommend their tiramisu, the best in Rome in my opinion.
