Onestamente avevo, da romano, l'impressione di un locale "per turisti", location bella ma i piatti mah, saranno le solite portate finto romane...
E invece no, per niente.
Molta cortesia.
Bellissima location all'aperto, forse migliore rispetto all'interno, con il sole si sta una favola.
Ci offrono due bruschettine al pomodoro, una piccola coccola.
La mia compagna vuole un calice di vino, gliene portano un bicchiere solo per assaggiarlo, poi il calice vero e proprio.
Grigliata mista di carne x2, beh non l'abbiamo finita...
Un amaro, una birra media,
50€, con ricevuta.
Al pagamento ci regalano la riproduzione di una piccola stampa del 1700, raffigurante il mausoleo di Cecilia Metella.
Bravi, e scusate la diffidenza.

Found by chance during my wanderings. Even though I had already had a small lunch, I went in for the spartan but friendly, colorful and welcoming atmosphere. I thought I would have a sweet and maybe a coffee, but once I sat down I opted for a cacio e pepe, which arrived quickly and abundantly. We are not talking about haute cuisine, but I can't complain, especially considering the small appetizer offered, the honest price (considering the tourist area), but above all the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. On a gray and cloudy day, not only in the sky, I had a good time and... I will definitely return, in company!

My husband and I were having morning coffee. Very nice and friendly service. Delicious croissants and cakes made with whipped cream and sponge cakes prepared while you wait. A place with a charming atmosphere. I recommend! Kind regards!

A surprise lunch while I was walking along the Appia Antica on a free Saturday: the garden inspired me and I went back for the smell of the embers. I left smiling, satisfied, full, and with one more new place to recommend around.

Beautiful location on the historic Appia Antica, I returned after 7-8 years to this place where I had eaten well at the time and having good memories we decided to return... and it has even improved! Very nice and welcoming place for families...my son went crazy for the games, the play areas are beautiful and the possibility of putting books and coloring albums available at the tables to entertain the children

Locale nella splendida cornice dell’appia antica, vicino al mausoleo di cecilia metella, l’atmosfera familiare, con un servizio cordiale, e dall’ottima qualità del cibo. Molto family friend, con giochi per i piccoli all’interno del locale e un piccolo spazio esterno con giochi altalene e tappeto elastico. Il cinto nella norma considerando il sevizio, la qualità offerta e la bellezza del luogo.
