Great service and wonderful gelato freshly made! I don’t understand why people stand in endless lines outside gelato chain stores when this place is ready to welcome you with no rush, no stress and fantastic gelato.

This was one of the best gelato places that I have had in my trip, if not the best. The texture was amazing and there was a great variety of flavors, from the classic lemon and chocolate, to coconut and pear. The worker was very nice and the service was fast. Although, if you would like a place to sit, there is only 4-5 chairs. But, it is still an amazing place to get some gelato close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, 10/10 would recommend. 😀

Very tasty, and the shop keeper is friendly. No over the top-ness or flashiness like at Trevi. Just classic gelato. Go with the honey (the classic) and you won’t regret it.

Such a delicious, natural ice cream parlour, the best one in Rome! Will highly recommend trying pomegranate, pear, pistachio and honey flavours!

Below average, doesn’t have a full bodied taste. Aftertaste tastes like ice. You can get much better gelato in neighbourhoods. I had Stracciatella and cinnamon and ginger.

One thing tourists should be aware regarding the original gelato. It shouldn’t be on display, it shouldn’t have all crazy colours and it shouldn’t have too many options. The gelato should be kept in metallic containers with metallic lids. It is less extravagant, but it is the traditional and right way. So if you want an authentic experience San Crispino is the way to go to. I came here first time 15 years ago. And since then, every time i am in Rome, it is a must to reach here for a great gelato. My favorite two flavours are the white wine and the honey. Absolutely delicious. The place looks totally underrated, but it is the case for most traditional gelato places. And the service is perfectly ok. Give it a try (or more) ! You will not regret it and very important, you will know you are eating the real thing!
