San Crispino was, is and will probably always remain the best ice cream shop in Rome. The place is very simple, just a counter, two tables and a few chairs, and the staff is always extremely courteous and helpful. The ice creams - served only in cups, for reasons of taste and hygiene - are out of this world: very creamy consistency, varied flavors (for fruit strictly seasonal) and incredible flavour. The pomegranate tastes more like pomegranate than the pomegranate itself, so to speak. Absolutely unmissable if you're in town, no matter the time of day or time of year.

The gelato is very delicious and close to the Trevi fountain, and I say famous because a scene of eating, praying and loving by Julia Roberts was filmed here. Absolutely recommended and invited to visit, served by Gagan, and my favorite and recommended flavor is Lemon.

Taste is good but the service from the foreign staff can't hold a candle with the real Italian service. You gotta wait for these guys speaking in their own language to stop chatting to tell them what you want. Peccato.
Close to the Trevi Fountain, delicious ice cream, excellent service, everything clean and best of all, no long lines!

When you see that their ice cream is covered, it is synonymous with quality. Original and very rich flavors. In my case I ordered nocciola meringue and coffee cream. A 10!

Hands down best ice cream place in Italy. They don’t add artificial colors and use the best ingredients. I have been going here since the 90s and didn’t find anything close to their quality
