I just visited the gelateria and had 2 scoops in a cup. 1 scoop of Pistachio and 1 scoop of stracciatella. I think the pistachio was one of the best pistachio ice creams that I have ever had. Extremely tasty, full of flavour and a lot of Pistachio bits in there.
On the other hand, I didn't like the stracciatella. I don't really like egg, and I can easily spot the smell and or the flavour. The stracciatella had a lot of egg. I couldn't smell it, but I could taste it. Not an issue for many people as not many people can taste the egg in the ice cream. But for me, it was too much. I believe the gelato they serve is genuine, with a lot of flavour and good ingredients. Recommended.

The real gelato in Rome. There are tourist traps everywhere showing fluffy ice cream in 20 different flavors, what to look for are places like this. This is real gelato! They have been in the business for many years and know how to make gelato for real. Just a short walk from the Trevi Fountain and away from the throngs of tourists is this gem. Eat your gelato here.

Edit: i kept coming back, here are my favorites:
Out of this world: pistaccio / ginger&cinnamon.
Very very good: stracciatella / honey / peach.
Now i'll go back to dreaming about all the other tastes I wish I could have had

Good little spot en route to the Trevi Fountain. Not busy when I was there around 11:15am, though other shops closer to the fountain area were crawling with tourists.
So many flavors. Can confirm that the lemon sorbet is excellent and refreshing!

We came based on the recommendation from the book “Eat. Pray. Love.” here. Apparently the best ice cream in Rome. Unfortunately not true. The atmosphere wasn't particularly inviting, the service was rather unfriendly and there are no ice cream cones, only cups. The ice cream wasn't bad, but we had several better ice creams in Rome, including in the immediate vicinity of this ice cream parlor and the Trevi Fountain. The only positive thing: There were some unusual ice cream flavors here that you wouldn't have known otherwise.
