We absolutely loved eating here! Our food was some of our favorite in Rome. Our waiter was nice, funny, and attentive. The prices were incredibly reasonable. We had a bottle of wine, a pizza, and two pastas for 54 euros. HIGHLY recommend.

Authentic and very good traditional Roman food, spaghetti cacio e pepe is sublime! Il Gallo Nero is a must in all my visits to Rome.

It was truly a great discovery. Very nice place, well-kept and welcoming, delicious first courses, super good fish, excellent desserts too and very kind, sociable and professional waiters, we will definitely be back.

Trattoria serving Roman dishes, too.
We had a delicious macaroni alla gricia...but trust me, the macaroni with oxtail stew is an A+. Highly recommended.

Good food. The fish menu is good, but the sea bass comes whole. It would have been better if it had been already opened and had the main bones removed. But that wasn't a problem.
The service was quick and friendly. We found the tables too close together—the place is small. But overall, it's a good restaurant. I would definitely go back. I recommend it!

We entered the restaurant without knowing that they had a Japanese menu. We asked the staff at the front of the restaurant a few questions, and there was no pressure or alienating atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed the 20 euro set meal, which was a comfortable experience. They made eye contact with us and treated us pleasantly, and our first impression of Rome, our first visit to Italy, was sky-high. There were also people dining alone. I finally understood why the reviews for this restaurant were so good. The carbonara was delicious.

I visited Rome on 8/4 to 8/8 and this restaurant was around the corner from our excellent Hotel Genova and the food was excellent. The service was just as excellent. I wish I can get the Lasagna shipped to Louisiana. Please go if you are in Rome…you won’t be sorry.

Ni siquiera se me ocurre nada que no hayamos disfrutado. Todo comenzó desde el momento en que entramos nos sentimos bienvenidos. Los platos que tuvimos fueron Cacio E Pepe y Carbonara, estaban deliciosos. Uno de mis objetivos durante mi visita a Roma era tener estos dos platos y no me decepcionó. Recomiendo encarecidamente el Tiramisu. ¡Gracias!
