Everything was excellent! The food was delicious and well prepared. The service was extremely attentive and the atmosphere was family-friendly. The prices were fair.

Excellent food, exceptional service! Attention to every detail. We ordered the meat menu, with house wine. Fair price. A pleasant surprise on our last day in Rome! Totally different from the tourist restaurants!

Cracking place close to Roma Termini. We were staying just up the road and were after a good, genuine meal for our last night in Rome. il Gallo Nero didn’t disappoint! The musky octopus and swordfish carpaccio were great. The pasta dishes (carbonara, cacio e pepe and truffle ravioli) were amazing as were the meatballs. We were pretty full by this stage but the service was too good to refuse, and we decided we could squeeze dessert in. Chocolate and hazelnut tartufo as well as the best tiramisu we’ve had in Italy capped of a perfect meal. On top of the amazing food was the even better service. Very, very busy place, waiters handled it all calmly and professionally. Would highly recommend.

Very cool little trattoria near termini roma. Had the fettuccine (made in house) with porcini mushroom and truffle, veal saltimbocca and a green salad. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Highly recommended

Unlike many restaurants in the area, this isn't your typical tourist trap (at least not in January). A welcoming atmosphere, excellent quality, and fair prices.

09/09/2025: I wish I had more than 5 stars to give to this place. I discovered their rice gelato nearly 20 years ago and it is still as good today as it was that first time. It’s like they took an incredible rice pudding and froze it. I’ve never had gelato so good. On my last trip I went as many times as I could and still can’t get enough. The rice flavors especially blew my mind. The folks working here are very kind, and offer some unexpected but delightful pairing suggestions.
07/09/2025: Definitely one of the best gelatos in Rome. The rice and cinnamon gelato is a must-try.

02/10/2025: Good place inside a shopping center to eat a few slices of pizza and continue shopping.
02/10/2025: It's a pizzeria by the slice. The pizza, first courses, and second courses are excellent, with a different menu every day. For me, the pizza is the best in Rome.
