An excellent experience at Filo di Grano, just steps from Morimondo Abbey.
The courtyard is truly beautiful, with an outdoor veranda that creates a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was courteous, friendly, and very attentive to both requests and intolerances.
We chose a traditional tasting menu: the cured meats from Cascina Caremma were excellent, and the risotto was truly delicious, one of the highlights of the lunch.
It was all accompanied by excellent wine and finished with a complimentary amaro, which was much appreciated.
A place we'll definitely return to!

I had lunch at Easter, the cured meats were good but a little dry, a question of taste, first and second courses, a lot of smoke but not much roast

The food is excellent. Even the seemingly simplest dishes are interesting and tasty. The rustic atmosphere, enhanced by unique floral centerpieces for each table, is very welcoming.

Location and refined cuisine. Ample free private parking right inside the restricted traffic zone (they ask you to email them your license plate to avoid a fine). Attentive, friendly, and helpful staff. Refined dishes. Delicate and elegant background music. The flan served as an amuse-bouche is a real hit.

In the historic village of Morimondo, just steps from the Cistercian Abbey, Il Filo di Grano is an inn with a kitchen located in one of the buildings of the Corte dei Cistercensi, a setting that immediately defines its character.
The spaces are well-structured and well-organized, with different rooms that allow for an intimate or more convivial experience. The atmosphere is refined yet informal, with architectural elements and furnishings consistent with the history of the place; in the milder months, outdoor spaces pleasantly complete the experience.
The cuisine offers a contemporary interpretation of Italian and Lombard traditions, with a focus on seasonality and the quality of the ingredients. The service is attentive, professional, and meticulous, with a well-calibrated pace that accompanies the meal without being intrusive.
A perfect choice for those seeking a lunch or dinner immersed in the tranquility of one of the most charming villages in the area.
Don't miss: Heifer tongue, Bernese oysters and cocoa beans, Selection of cured meats from Cascina Caremma with seasonal giardiniera and fried polenta, Risotto with Arborio from Cascina Caremma and saffron with ossobuco, Lacquered heifer cheek, braised cauliflower and spinach, Paris Brest, custard, raspberry, caramelized chocolate ganache

A surprisingly fantastic experience, with excellent and carefully crafted food. The pumpkin risotto was excellent, as was the guanciotta. The dessert was also superb! The atmosphere was well-maintained, and the staff were helpful and very kind.

Very nice place both inside and out. The menu is limited. The ones we tried were very well executed and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable.
