Il Fellini Restaurant In Roma

A truly delightful find in a fairly touristy area. The place is intimate and welcoming, the staff professional, and all the dishes are delicious and beautifully presented. The calamarata with pistachio pesto and shrimp was truly delicious.

Disappointing, pork and lamb were average. Lamb was supposed to have pine nuts and olives, neither on the dish and lamb was tough. Tables very close to other customers

I went there with a friend and first thing I noticed was the lights, kind of dim but not too much, people talking all around, felt nice actually, not too loud, but then again sometimes the chairs were a bit close. I ordered pasta, looked simple but the taste was wow, sauce was rich but didn’t make me feel heavy after. Portion bigger than I expected, I even thought I can’t finish but I did. My friend got pizza, thin crust, little bit burned on the edge in a good way, cheese was creamy, not the cheap one, you can feel. Prices… not cheap, yeah, but for what we got I didn’t feel robbed, like sometimes in the center you pay double for worse. The menu, man, it was hard to pick, too many good things, pastas, meats, even fish. I kept changing my mind, almost annoyed myself. I saw on other tables some meat dishes, looked really good, next time maybe. Service was fine, nothing special, the waiter had a blue shirt and looked in a hurry but he still brought our food pretty fast, so ok. I would go again, maybe lunch time, or maybe dinner again, don’t know, depends how hungry I am.

I went to Ristorante Il Fellini with my girlfriend and honestly it was one of those dinners that you remember but also maybe forget details after, like the waiter had a blue shirt I think or maybe gray, not sure, anyway the food was the thing. I had pasta with seafood, really tasty, fresh flavor, not heavy, I kept saying this is good, she laughed at me, she had pizza and the crust was thin but soft inside, like not dry at all, I even stole a bite and yeah it was worth it. The place inside was warm, people talking around, not too noisy, sometimes I heard a table laughing louder but then it was fine, it gave me that Roman vibe you expect when you come here, cozy but alive. Service was friendly, maybe a bit slow when bringing the wine, but the waiter explained some dishes and suggested a wine that actually matched really good with my pasta, so I forgive him. Prices, well, not the cheapest, but considering location and quality I didn’t feel cheated, I hate when I feel overcharged and here it was not like that. I left full and happy, thinking this is what I call a real Roman experience, and honestly I would go back again, maybe to try another pasta, or the same, who knows.

Our food was very good, but it was terribly understaffed and the experience suffered as a result. The salmon appetizer was great, and the carbonara was first rate. Roast pork with escarole was great. This place is space and staff-limited. Another server and one or two less tables would address those issues.

A refined restaurant with an excellent wine list. They offered us bruschetta as an aperitif and various types of bread. We arrived without a reservation, and after being told we'd have to wait a half hour, they made an effort to share a table with other customers who were also waiting. We ordered fettuccine alla genovese, very delicate—the onion was barely noticeable—and calamarata with pistachio pesto, prawns, and stracciatella. Prices were reasonable, except for the €4 bottle of Coke, which seemed a bit steep.

Food was above average but there were only 2 waiters serving all evening. They were in a hurry all evening so that they were nervous enough. If this is not the concept of restaurant, then their rates are going to be down soon despite the taste of food..

C'était très bon, rapport qualité prix OK. Un peu à l'écart du tumulte, déco sympa, à essayer, nous avons même envisagé y revenir.

Non è la prima volta che vengo in questo accogliente ristorante in zona Villa Borghese. Si mangia davvero bene, piatti ben preparati e porzioni corrette. Personale professionale. Una garanzia in questa zona di Roma.
