Il Faro In Portoferraio

Based on the reviews, our expectations weren't very high, but we were pleasantly surprised. The lunch menu is smaller than the dinner menu, but equally varied in flavor. We ordered mostly fresh, delicate fish. The fish gnocchi and mixed fried fish were the group's favorite dishes.

Nice location, but honestly, I expected more from the service. We ordered with a fork and didn't get any extras. With the Spritz, there were no fries or appetizers. It's true that I didn't ask for one, but for me, it's understood, especially if the place aims to be classy. The first courses were decent, and the location is very nice, thanks in part to the setting. The price is a bit high; I would expect more.

The food was absolutely delicious — I can honestly say it was the best fish and spaghetti allo scoglio we had during our entire stay on Elba. The atmosphere was just as wonderful, with a breathtaking sunset right by the sea creating the perfect backdrop for dinner. We were also really happy to see that they had a dedicated kids’ menu, which included things like chicken nuggets and fries — such a thoughtful touch, especially since kids don’t always go for seafood. It made the whole experience even more comfortable for us as a family. The service was excellent — everyone was very attentive, and Alice in particular was incredibly kind and caring, especially with our children. We had a truly lovely evening and enjoyed one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Huge thanks to the team for making it so special!

Very good restaurant, beautiful place and extremely professional employees. Food top of top on whole country level. We were in 6 persons 3 of them were small children and we already had a child seat by the table when we arrived which is very nice detail. Fish was fresh and spaghetti allo scoglio was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Huge thanks to Alice

The location is unique, barefoot on the pebbles and the peaceful lighthouse tinged with sunset. The baked sea bass was very good, and the pasta with tomato sauce for the kids was also good. It's a shame they're a bit stingy (we had to beg for an extra bowl of chips during aperitivo). The Roman waitress, however, was good and friendly. For 930g of sea bass, a plate of pasta with tomato sauce, and two beers, we spent €110. Let's say it's fair enough, but perhaps they should learn to be more accommodating about the little things, given how much they charge. Approved anyway.

Delicious fish gnocchi and delicious fried fish!! Alice was wonderful, and Andrea, the chef, was great! Definitely worth a try!

Chosen at random... I was a bit skeptical given the reviews, but I'm happy to give it 5 stars. The place and location are incredible, with a breathtaking sunset over Portoferraio. There was a small initial mix-up with the wine, but it was quickly resolved brilliantly. We had two excellent starters, very good wine, and a gin and tonic and sgroppino to finish the evening, all of which were excellent. The bill isn't exactly cheap, but it's justified given the location.

Excellent cuisine and excellent atmosphere.

Spectacular place to enjoy the sunset, good food and service. The only flaw is the waiting time, 50 minutes for the appetizer and another 40 for the first. Price a bit excessive.
