New management, excellent ethnic (Sinhalese Indian) and Italian food, both meat and fish, good pizza made with an excellent sourdough dough.
Friendly smiling people, decidedly honest prices. To return and recommend.

The Al Faraone pizzeria in Milan is certainly one of the best pizzerias I have ever tried. Located in the lively Porta Romana district, this pizzeria is a real culinary jewel that deserves a visit by all lovers of good pizza.
From the first moment you walk through the door, the welcoming and familiar atmosphere makes you immediately feel at home. The furnishings are modern and with attention to detail, with a mix of tradition and innovation which is also reflected in the menu. But above all it is the cuisine that makes the difference in this place. The pizza chef, a master of his craft, prepares each pizza with a mastery and passion that can already be perceived from the captivating aroma that wafts through the air.
Each pizza is made with top quality ingredients and expertly combined to create a unique harmony of flavors. The variety of choices is wide and satisfies all tastes, from vegans to meat lovers. Personally, I have tried several pizzas during my visits to Al Faraone pizzeria and all have been a success. Their Margherita pizza, in particular, is simply divine: a light and fluffy dough with a delicious mix of buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomato and basil.
But not only the pizzas are excellent in this pizzeria. The menu also offers a variety of fresh and tasty appetizers and salads, perfect for those who want a lighter meal. I highly recommend trying the arancini with ragù and the expelled olives, two of my favourites. Furthermore, the restaurant also offers a selection of excellent quality Italian wines to accompany your dishes.
The service is impeccable and the staff is always friendly and available to recommend the best dishes and satisfy customer requests. I was lucky enough to be served by the owner, Mr. Antonio, who proved not only to be an excellent pizza chef but also an exceptional host, with his warmth and passion for good food shining through in everything he does.
Another positive aspect of this pizzeria is the quality-price ratio. Despite the quality of the dishes offered, the prices are more than accessible and represent real added value.
I highly recommend booking as the place is always very busy and it is difficult to find a free table, especially on weekends. But don't be put off by the queue outside the door, because it's really worth it.
In conclusion, the Al Faraone pizzeria is a small hidden treasure in the heart of Milan, which deserves to be discovered and appreciated. If you are looking for authentic and delicious pizza, served in a friendly and genuine atmosphere, you can't go wrong with this pizzeria. I can't wait to return and delight my palate with another of their amazing pizzas. Thank you Al Faraone for making each of my visits a memorable experience.
