Pleasant surprise. Christmas lunch 2024 right in price, courses and service which on occasions of this type is not so obvious. The service guys were courteous. Their à la carte menu based on goose specialties is worth trying again. We will be back

Not far from Milan, this trattoria in Mortara offers a different menu than usual, specializing in dishes with meat and goose liver. It is possible to make different choices, including mushrooms and truffles in season. Very friendly staff and a welcoming, clean room. Possible to park nearby with a very reasonable cost.

10/01/2025: The best restaurant in the area to enjoy typical Oltrepò cuisine (the risottos are super). Giovanna is an exceptional host. A must try for anyone who happens to be in the area

For the ossobuco, grated lemon zest was added, and the beaten egg with moka coffee is worthy of mention. Waiting times between courses were a little long this time. Overall well worth a visit.

10/02/2025: The first time I ate pizza at Le Grotte was a long, long time ago. Over this time the place has remained the same, as it is😳The pizza isn't bad but nothing that made me fall in love. Very large and thin pizza that quickly becomes cold and a little hard. Sin. Friendly staff. Average price.
