Covo delle Sirene In Muggia

We stumbled upon this place quite by chance a few nights ago. The place is really cozy and has a wonderful, elegant feel. The food was simply delicious, and the staff was super friendly and very attentive. We really enjoyed our time here. Hopefully, we'll be back soon!

I had Turbot and my partner had Mixed Seafood Platter with sautéed veg and fries. The sautéed veg was shredded veg not whole vegetables and a tiny portion, the fries were cold and greasy, the seafood platter was all cooked in batter and the Turbot portion was tiny. We were still very hungry after the main so tried the desserts. The chocolate flambé was good but the Tiramisu was disappointing, with no discernible alcohol and a vast amount of custard which is not part of a classic Tiramisu. The waitress was excellent and the best part of this very disappointing meal.

Expectations were high, but unfortunately the experience wasn't entirely positive. The first courses with "conchiglie" had significantly more shells than actual molluscs. The seafood pasta and gnocchi were good, while the pasta with clams was dry and disjointed with too much lemon. The mixed fried fish could be revisited (over-fried, or even raw), and the sautéed vegetables needed rethinking. Seasonal dishes offer a vast selection, not just potatoes and snow peas. The recommended wine, however, was excellent. The quality/price ratio was clearly inadequate in our experience.

The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is fresh and excellent. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

The restaurant entrance wasn't exactly intuitive, but once you got there, it was a pleasant surprise. The menu is interesting and concise. The staff was friendly. Prices were good for all budgets. I'd gladly return to try the pasta with sea urchins (which wasn't available at the time), but the "Sirens Carbonara" is definitely worth a try! Update: The pasta with sea urchins hasn't been featured again, but the cover charge is now €5 and the portions have gotten smaller...

The food was delicious, and the service was absolutely top-notch! The waiter who served us made our evening wonderful. I recommend spending time there. The quality, taste, and atmosphere...

Great seafood. Polpo was amazing and the portion is huge, especially that's just a starter. Mixed fried assortment was great. Superb service and great wine choice.

Excellent and quality food, very polite and helpful staff (all the courses were well explained and the wines to match were recommended), excellent service. Recommended!

Excellent dishes, very friendly staff. I recommend the grilled octopus and the tagliolini with cuttlefish ink.
