I made reservation month ago before my travel to Venice. The food there was amazing. The staff was super warm and friendly esp the elder gentleman served my table. At last Annie brought the signature chocolate cake to me personally, I was gagged. Everything was perfect!

I chose the restaurant based on their menu and the ingredients they use: slow food products, both local and otherwise, all of which are high-quality. We weren't disappointed. The Delta pink oysters were superb, the boiled fish appetizers excellent, the zucchini flowers stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and mint, the vegetables from the Sant'Erasmo garden were excellent, the spaghetti with clams excellent, and the whole wheat spaghetti with a special anchovy sauce. We didn't have time to try their desserts due to lack of time (we had a train departure), but we'll definitely be back. The prices are reasonable for the menu offerings. Recommended for foodies.

Overall, a lovely evening. Good food, convenient location, close to the center but not too crowded. Overall, the service was courteous and friendly. The reason I lowered my rating was the way we handled the drinks: we ordered a bottle for around €50/60, and it arrived uncorked at our table. I think this was a serious mistake.

A typical Venetian restaurant, popular with locals and visitors alike, offering authentic cuisine without resorting to "tourist" fare. The spider crab is perfect, the spaghetti with clams is also delicious, and the fried soft-shell crabs are a rare and wonderful delight. The desserts are also good. Excellent wine selection, including good wines by the glass. Service is friendly yet professional, precise, and fast. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The price is in line with the quality of the dishes. Definitely one of my favorites in Venice.

Located in beautiful Venice, Al Covo restaurant is a must-visit for anyone wishing to experience authentic Venetian cuisine. Featuring quality, always fresh, and local ingredients, the menu offers a wide variety of fish (especially the raw seafood and spider crab), meat, and vegetarian dishes, with vegetables sourced directly from the gardens on the island of Sant'Erasmo. The restaurant is run by the delightful Benelli family, who imbue the entire restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Don't miss Mrs. Benelli's desserts, each one more delicious than the last (the panna cotta and chocolate cake are especially exceptional)! A special mention goes to head waiter Richard, who is incredibly knowledgeable and charming! Delicious food, a warm, family atmosphere... Highly recommended!

I am so pleased that we booked Al Covo! Richard and the team were so kind and hospitable in their service! The team are knowledgeable about everything they are serving and made fantastic wine recommendations. We felt like we were guests of honour at their home, despite the restaurant being full. The ambience is of serenity and calm, with all diners eating, chatting and enjoying the experience. The food and wine was sensational, so fresh, from local sources. I have no hesitation in recommending Al Covo to all who visit Venice. Its the perfect antidote to the Venetian crowds and the food is top top standards!

We had a reservation at 20:30 but showed up 20 mins early as we were already around, they gave us our table and explained they could start serving us at the reservation time which was ok. We ate delicious food like Bigoli, soft shell crabs were amazing, oysters, scallops, gnocchi with squid ink and soup. Everything was really good except the soup which lacked flavor, it was really blend. Service was efficient and friendly.
