06/01/2025: I returned to Il Particolare after 2 years. I didn't know about the change of management. Compared to the previous management, the name, the environment, the price have been maintained, but certainly not the attention and care for the customer. Good quality of the dishes but certainly not at the level of the previous management. But what bothered me the most was the item Service and cover charge +10% on the receipt. I believe that it is not even correct to charge for the service, unless the staff has a regular contract ,and the average cover price in Italy is €2.90 and not 10% of the taxable amount.
06/01/2025: Epiphany, we are the only customers apart from a table of tourists. It's a shame, because we had a very good time, but that's perhaps the power of the negative reviews. It is true that the portions are small and the price is high, but the quality of the dishes is high, despite the fact that the seasonality of the ingredients is not very respected and the service is pampering and very attentive. We ordered 3 tasting menus of 4 dishes, but due to a misunderstanding they brought us 6 dishes, charged us as 4, then we had finished the wine and they brought us the glasses to finish the lunch and the zibibbo with dessert. They also brought us 3 different desserts for us to make
taste them all! Small attentions that make you happy. Very fresh fish and cooked well, the pasta was a little silly, but the flavor of the fish was better appreciated. The own-produced oil is also excellent. In short, definitely worth trying!
