Il Chiodo Fisso In Bari

Let me start by saying we liked this spot so much we came back twice on our 5 day stay. We are Canadian, and needed to get used to European service. Things just take longer, people sit for hours to enjoy their food. If you are in a rush or expect snappy NA service, this is not the place for you. Chiodo Fisso is located outside of the primary tourist area and you are treated to an authentic warm and welcoming atmosphere. So warm in fact, that our server moved their standing fan and pointed it at our table it was so hot. No fault of the restaurant's though, we were there in a 37° heat wave. The food is amazing. The pizzas are plentiful the ingredients are of a very high quality and, compared to the old city of Bari, approximately 60% of the price. Come and enjoy the food, the ambiance is authentic Bari (a welcome break from the tourist heavy old city), just be ready to sit, relax and enjoy your food. One of the highlights of our European trip.

A wonderful place with a truly family atmosphere. During our stay in Bari, we returned several times and each time felt almost like home. It's not just about good food, but above all, the warmth, relaxed atmosphere, and extraordinary care for guests. It's definitely one of those places that you remember for a long time and want to return to. Special thanks to Angela, who always looked after us with such warmth and care!

Neapoletan style pizza in Bari, and one of the recommended ones. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and talkative. It felt nice to take a break here after a long day of sightseeing.

The lovely waitress Eliz brought me a Coke instead of a Coke Zero several times. But because she was so sweet, I'm starting to drink Coke now. (The pizza was good too.)

The pizza is well-prepared, with a light and digestible dough, cooked to perfection, and made with fresh ingredients that are evident from the first bite. The menu offers a good variety, suitable for all tastes. The staff is courteous, helpful, and attentive, with absolutely reasonable wait times. The place is clean and well-organized, with average prices and excellent value. Recommended.
