Il Ceppo In Monteriggioni

Hospitality, with a capital H. We spent three wonderful days; the room was clean and comfortable. We arrived around noon and began sampling their delicacies and drinking their "agricultural coffee." I would describe the breakfast as super, beyond any expectations. Even our dachshund was pampered as much as we were, and we'll definitely be back. Well done, keep up the good work.

Great family atmosphere. Excellent cuisine, and above all, run by special people. A must try.

What can I say... breakfast even included red wine 😊... exceptional kindness and helpfulness. Clean and spacious room with air conditioning. Saved among my favorite places when traveling in Italy.

I stayed for a short vacation, and the room I was given was spacious, clean, and cool (it has air conditioning). Even though the B&B is close to the road, I slept wonderfully at night, without hearing a sound. The bathroom was fully equipped, clean, and provided with complimentary toiletries. In the morning, I'd never seen such a breakfast, which to call abundant is an understatement: in addition to the classic slices of bread, butter, and jam, there were also cured meats, cheeses, pickles, bruschetta (I loved the tuna one), tripe with tomato sauce, scrambled eggs, various pastries, and slices of cake. As for drinks, there was local red wine, cappuccino, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice. In short, it was more than just breakfast, it was a proper brunch! Upon my arrival, I also had lunch: typical Tuscan and other home-style cuisine, with generous portions. I absolutely fell in love with the Chianti beef stew. The place is very quiet, the service is fast and attentive, and the staff is incredibly kind and always ready to offer advice. Davide and Lello were truly kind, hospitable, and available to offer suggestions on places to visit or where to dine (it's only open for lunch). I'm so sad to have to go home, but if I ever have the chance to pass through these parts again (and I certainly won't miss the opportunity, since I'm already thinking about visiting other places in the area 😅), the B&B Osteria "Il Ceppo" will be a must-visit. ❤️

I'm just talking about the restaurant. While traveling between Monteriggioni and Siena, we stopped by chance, and what a great choice! Delicious, homemade food at more than reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Without pretension, quality achieves excellence.

Unique and unforgettable experience! 😍 We discovered this B&B by chance, located in a strategic point between Monteriggioni and Siena, and we stopped there also intrigued by the excellent reviews of other travelers. THE OWNERS AND STAFF ARE TRULY WONDERFUL!!! 🙏🥰 Kind, helpful, sociable, friendly, efficient, attentive and thoughtful and always ready to make you feel at home! Lunch based on aubergine tart filled with anchovies and tuna, tray of local cold cuts and cheeses, ribollita, panzanella, baked potatoes, bread, house red wine and trio of desserts. All very tasty! ❤️ And luckily we drank two excellent local bitters to digest!!!! 😅😅 We then decided to stop and sleep there. The room was clean, tastefully furnished, air conditioned, with a comfortable mattress and a beautiful view of the adjacent hills and at night it was very cool and quiet. (PS the bar and restaurant service closes at 6pm, to reopen the next morning) The owner then recommended 4 excellent restaurants to choose from in Monteriggioni where we would go for dinner! And we are extremely grateful to him! But the real discovery was the breakfast of champions! 😻🤣 I honestly think it was the most abundant, delicious, varied and unusual breakfast we have ever eaten in Italy! 😋😋😋 (See attached photos!) Sweet pastries, tarts, bread, butter, jam, orange juice, cold cuts, cheeses and beaten eggs! And everything here was already excellent!!!!💙 Food and service! But the highlight was when he brought us red wine paired with anchovies, olives, peppers stuffed with tuna, spring onions, all in oil, plus mixed salty croutons and finally panzanella! 😍😍😍 Outstanding food!!! 🍷🍷🍷🔝🔝🔝 Oh and let's not forget the coffee with grappa!!! 😋☕🍾 Moral.... we got up satisfied, happy and we didn't need lunch! 🤣 Truly positive experience! The kindness and hospitality shown, truly warmed our hearts! ❤️ 100% recommended! 🔝 Competitive prices for lunch, overnight stay and breakfast! 😉 Free parking available adjacent. In questo B&B / ristorantino non vi aspettate camerieri eleganti o tavole imbandite con posate d'argento o altro. A farla da padrone è la praticità, l'ambiente alla buona e la simpatia dei gestori. Siamo stati 2 notti in questo B&B ed abbiamo trovato un locale familiare, con tanta tradizione toscana e tanto cibo buono. Le camere erano semplici, pulite, con grandi finestre sul giardino, TV , bagno grande con box doccia, asciugamani e tutto l'occorrente per la pulizia. Alla mattina ci hanno lasciato anche delle bottiglie d' acqua fuori dalla porta, viste le giornate di pieno sole. Ma quello che più ci ha lasciato a bocca aperta è stata la colazione. Oltre alle solite varie brioches enormi, torte di ogni tipo, bevande calde, succo di arancia, il plus era : pane toscano fresco a fette enormi, salumi tipici (salame toscano, crudo, finocchiona etc etc) formaggi, tartine salate con salse milza, tonno, pomodoro piccante, e poi le trippe pronte calde, per noi, una cosa mai vista !! uova strapazzate, vino (che loro chiamano scherzosamente "colazione del contadino"). C'era veramente di tutto tipico del territorio, e appena mancava qualcosa, i gestori gentilissimi accorrevano per ripristinare i vassoi vuoti. Essendo a metà strada tra Monteriggioni e Siena (4/5 km da una parte o dall'altra) molte persone si fermavano per una colazione o un pasto semplice. Lo terremo presente se dovessimo andare ancora da quelle parti, un ringraziamento ai gestori, veramente accoglienti e gentilissimi. Prezzi buoni, vedendo anche cosa costava mangiare a Siena. Grazie. di tutto.

B&B immerso nel verde. L'ospitalità,l'attenzione ai bisogni del cliente,e competenza sono le caratteristiche in cui ci si ritrova immersi appena varcata la soglia del locale . La cucina è casalinga ma con ingredienti freschi e piatti tipici dall'equilibrio impeccabile. La colazione da quanto ricca rende sazi per l'intera giornata . La stanza è pulita e con biancheria confortevole e finalmente abbiamo trovato un materasso matrimoniale UNITO a differenza di quelli trovati in tanti alberghi blasonati . Letto molto ampio, nettamente più grande rispetto ad un letto matrimoniale standard . La cordialità dei titolari e di tutto il personale è qualcosa che per forza resta impresso nel cuore e nella mente, sicuramente avremo modo di tornare e speriamo il più presto possibile .
