Abundant and good appetizer, excellent pizza even if a little too low for my tastes at least, fast and always smiling service all topped off with a pleasant atmosphere and a place that takes you back in time. Congratulations and I must say that the price is right.

Locale pulito, alla mano e molto confortevole. Si respira un'aria di famiglia. Il personale è molto gentile ed attento alle esigenze dei clienti. Prezzo buonissimo ed ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio la sbriciolata che fanno loro... È insuperabile. Ci vediamo presto

I arrive close to closing time and they still let me sit. You immediately feel at home, the place is very particular, from Salaria you find yourself in ancient Rome in an instant. There is parking nearby but let's get to the kitchen. Had an appetizer and first course with hot focaccia served nearby… Excellent starter, plate with cured meats (excellent) and cheeses (these are normal). First course we have pappardelle with sauce and here I was also entranced by the simple sauce. Absolutely excellent prices for the quality and abundance of the dishes. I will return and recommend the visit, it is the typical place to discover when you go out in search of a hidden and good place

We came because it was recommended by friends. What can I say: the appetizer with bruschetta with lard was very good. The mega pizza, where you can choose up to 3 flavours, is for three people (two of us ate it because we eat a lot but it's very large) and is really seasoned with very good, fresh ingredients and, above all, well cooked; which for a very large pizza is not a given. And, since we were there, we also took a generous portion of gnocchi with meat sauce with a nice sprinkling of parmesan, where the protagonist is truly the gnocchi. You can taste the potato and they don't fall apart and the ragù sauce is good and tasty. In the Poggio native/osteria Nuova area and surrounding areas it is in my top 5 pizzerias.

30/12/2023: So this place is a bunch of corrugated iron shacks corralled together on top of a mountain about an hour drive north east of Rome. It’s a forested area with an outside toilet (clean) and a playground for kids. The guy who owns it (Marchello) is affable and I think his wife and her sister do all the cooking. Italian peasant food at its best! We had bruschetta with the most aromatic olive oil followed by homemade pasta with local wild mushrooms and black truffle as our starters. For main course I had grilled lamb chops with boiled vegetables and french fries. All super simple and delicious. The house red was light and smooth and matched the lamb chops perfectly.
28/11/2023: Cisterna stands out for its decidedly Spartan atmosphere, a peculiarity that makes it unique among other places. Set in the greenery, it is ideal for enjoying outdoor meals during the summer. As for the food, it doesn't reach exceptional heights. The pizzas, while having an acceptable flavour, are noticeably thin and sometimes slightly burnt. It should be noted that the service, although affable, is often slow and not always timely in responding to requests. The use of paper or plastic plates helps to emphasize the rustic and informal look of the place.

01/04/2024: 8 of us ate on Easter Sunday. 2 vegetarians. Set menu. Huge portions and super delicious. Compliments to the cook Fiorella because being able to satisfy (beyond expectations) two vegetarians like us is not for everyone. Many renowned restaurants should come and learn from her. Superlative homemade desserts, the tiramisu is the bomb 🤩. All high quality products. Family location, entertainment with billiards, table football and excellent music made the day pleasant and fun. Reasonable price.
09/01/2024: I didn't have the opportunity to have lunch in this place, just a coffee but friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely come back
