Everything was excellent and, even though the place was full, the service was fast and attentive

5-star tavern... where you can still find typical dishes and DOC wine.

Unfortunately, the owner was very grumpy both with the lady (on the contrary, very kind) who served us at the table and with us. Poor food and at the end of the meal we had no opportunity to view the pre-bill or receive the receipt.

Stop here at the Cavatappi restaurant if you are in Tarquinia and you will eat very well. In addition to the platter of cold cuts and cheeses, we ate the crostini in salmi, the duck leg and the Maremma braised meat. As you can see in the photo... they were delicious

Very beautiful and scenic restaurant located in the historic village of Tarquinia, a few steps from the wonderful Porta di Castello. To reach it you can take a short walk between the walls and the ancient villages of the city, passing from the panoramic point under the church of Santa Maria from which you can see the sea. Upon arrival, a hospitable and friendly waitress made us sit at the table near the fountain, and served us the dishes we ordered. I particularly liked the tortelloni with ricotta and asparagus, an exquisite proposal of the day, and the pasta all'amatriciana. For dessert, the cream and berry cup with pieces of millefeuille inside, exceptional. Honest prices. If you are a cat lover like me you will appreciate the company of some little friends during the evening, not at all intrusive and very cute!

Excellent dinner! Excellent food and very kind service, the children were offered crayons and paper to manage the wait more pleasantly. We arrived during the opening time of the restaurant, therefore around 7.30pm, and we were kindly advised not to sit at the tables outside in the small square, where it would have been more ventilated and suggestive, because until 8.10pm the pigeons would bathed in the fountain above, with the risk of splashes, feathers... or worse... We accepted the advice, taking a seat on the veranda... and indeed at 8.10pm promptly the pigeons went to sleep. 😄
