Il Cavallo In Carrara

We had a great time at dinner. Got to learn about the history of the place through the owners, beautiful old couple. Was there until close and they ended up serving us some limoncello and showing us a few new liqueurs! Food was incredible, best restaurant we found in Bellano!

Best pizza in a long time, very thin, crispy, dough rises well.

Food was impeccable, especially seafood. My only complaint is that we waited for 30 minutes before anyone showed up to take our orders, which is just abysmal since one pays 3 Euro per person for service.

The food is delicious. The shrimp and calamari are very well prepared. The pasta is very tasty and worth the price.

The pizzas are delicious. The view of the lake is magnificent. Special mention goes to the server, who speaks French and is very pleasant.

Beautiful views! The food was good and the service was pretty quick. Fresh food and knowledgeable about gluten free.

Very good food, beautiful and welcoming location... shame about the tall, dark-haired waitress, who was very rude, unfriendly, and arrogant. She didn't want to make me gluten-free pasta because she said it was too late to make it (the manager said it could be done without hesitation). They brought it to me, and it was very good, by the way.

The place is in a nice location and the menu looks good, the food was good but the service staff were miserable and dismissive. We thought that we would try again on another night but got turned away due to the outside terrace being full, even though there were clearly two tables available and most of the inside dining room. Lack of staff and subsequent slow service has been a theme of our trip to Lake Como.

The pizzas we had were delicious. However, the service was poor. We were there at 7:00 PM when they opened. However, the food didn't arrive until shortly before 9:00 PM, so we almost missed our bus. When we asked when the food would be coming, the response was very unfriendly. We had to eat very quickly and leave immediately. The pizzas were delicious, but they were difficult to enjoy. The Aperol Spritz was, in our opinion, much too strong.

I should have read reviews before going here... Still, I may share my experience with you. So, the place looks nice form the outside, there is a parking lot near so it was easy to get here and how the place looks convinced us. Yet the experience is not as great as it could be. Waitress was rather unpleasant. We were seated ordered our dishes and get those rather quickly. However the food was mediocre at best. Out of 5 dishes ravioli was the best, fishes mix and tagliatelle with mushrooms were hardly eatable. Dessert were much better than main plates. Prices are not reflected in the quality. Summarising: looks nice, food is just okish, but overpriced. Yet it looks like they have always place and your order is done quickly.
